My EDC Rotation - Top 7 - one for every day of the week!

The one constant for the last several years has been the Alox Electrician. It is always accompanied by one or another of my Opinels, usually a 6 but sometimes a 7, 8, or 10. Sometimes there is a third folder, an Okapi Biltong, a Buck 284 Bantam, or a Buck 112 slim select.
My other knives, modern and traditional, do not see much use, although any one of them is theoretically available to be carried.

Top seven? Heh, not possible for me. I've got something like sixty or seventy knives in my carry rotation, and far more in my total overall collection (collecting for decades, that happens!). On top of that, as others have described, sometimes I'll carry one or two knives for weeks, other times, a knife will be carried for a day or two then put away for months while others are carried. I just love knives and like having knives around. Hell, I carry at least two knives every day on my person and that's not counting the three or four that are in my daypack at any given time.

About the only knife I can truly say I've carried most days is my BHQ exclusive Sebenza 21 because if it's not in my pocket, it's in my daypack. That's the one knife in all of my collection that I'll never part with, and I keep it close at all times.

I also don’t have a consistent rotation, I have a bowl of knives and I pull from that, eventually I want something new so I go downstairs where I have a room of knives and I change them all out. I do keep a couple of knives available all the time but don’t always carry them, just want them available.

Under most circumstances, the knife of the day depended solely on the pants (or shorts) pockets for the day, and whether or not a particular clip would stay in place. One lost UKPK was enough for me to impose that rule upon myself. And if whatever blade I had on me that day couldn’t legally be carried into a place I was going, it just stayed in the car.

However, I challenged myself to 365 days of Sebenza 21 this past Valentine’s Day. So rotating is currently off the table.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm feeling pretty called out right now.

Saaaaaaaaaame. I have three or four knives next to my couch spot downstairs on my side table, several on my desk upstairs at any given time, you never know when you're going to be stuck in a long meeting and want to take the opportunity to admire/examine a knife or two.

Pants pocket - either Victorinox Explorer Plus or Swisschamp

The Vic since 2007. The Buck is a relative newcomer, since summer of 24. I’ve occasionally tried a few others for a day or two, but I keep coming back to what I’ve found most useful. I also have some others that I use for specific tasks/activities, but they aren’t daily users.

I appreciate those who are more organized in their choices (or lack there of) of what to carry. I just keep carrying what I have until I get bored and switch to something else. Randomness combined with laziness.

I'm just Glade if I have a Knife on me......

I can do 7 different in 7 days but this lil Urban EDC is top of the charts here for now. I leave a few of my favorites out for easy selection. Leaving the property and I grab a fixie also.
