This old Buck has been with me since 1975. It just keeps going. :)

Very nice. I like how you roll sir!

This old laminated Mora is my current favourite

But I do also have this...

(That is not the bin BTW!)

I now anticipate Kris is going to knock all our socks off with pics of some of his outstanding collection! :D

Jack,

Your Mora basically has the same blade shape as my Buck. Great looking knife! Second one ain't too shabby either. ;)

I still have my old Buck Pathfinder too but not as nice looking as yours anymore. Mine is circa 1970 so a bit older too. I have not carried it in years but will never give it away. It saw me through some long travails.

Thanks :) It's quite different to the other Frosts knives I have, and I think it was probably made to emulate the Buck design.

That's a very nicely composed pic BTW. What's the VIc and the match-safe (great bit of kit)?

Jack

Great lookin' knives guys.
I have so many it's hard to pick one favorite. This one Burt Foster made for me is right at the top of the pile though.

Vic Camper and a K&M Matchcase. Thanks!

Nice looking blade. Looks brand new. Did you refurb the knife and sheath?

Thanks. No refurb to the knife, but I occasionally fill in scratches on the sheath with black leather dye. I've owned the knife since I was 14 years old. I guess I just took really good care of it because I was so proud of it.

Thanks Jack, you are too kind. As with Gary, I have quite a few that I like very much. My favorite would have to be my backpacking knife which is a Fallkniven SK1 Jarl in 3G steel laminated to VG 10 sides and curly birch. Great knife that can be depended on.

Geez, that's beautiful! Help me on the handle material.

Dang, that knife is just asking to be used. As soon as I tell you how much I like your knife, I'm going to go look it up on Fallkniven website. :D

The handle on that one is some really wild California Buckeye burl wood. The blade is 220 layer O-1 and 15N20 forged ladder pattern Damascus.

Jack Black's Mora, is quite an atractive mixed breed. Old school pommel, and spacer stacks, with the Mora blade, and function. Nice.

Forget all of the choppers, all of the neck knives, most of my collection. My favorite right now is my Gossman mini Kephart. A2 and cocobolo. The JRE bushcraft sheath with firesteel might not be all that traditional, but this blade is more akin to the Kephart design than Scott's fullsize Kephart. I have one of those fullsize Kepharts he made, same cocobolo scales, and I have a "micro" Kephart he made, one of a kind, cocobolo again. However, the mini just fits great in the hand, not too big or too small.

For a couple years there, I went through a lot of makers, and ordered quite a few Kephart designs. Scott is the one that nailed it with his mini design. I need to take some pics.

I, too, always enjoy seeing that knife. Looks like a passel of artistically rendered owls on the handle. :)

There's a whole lot going on in that handle, Sarah.

Thanks for the link, Jack. I take it this is the original sheath? 5" blade? Really nice knife. I like it a lot!
