My Favorite wild edible

Redbe, I didn't realize they were part of that family. I've just heard them referred to as poor man's aspaugus. Good to know. :thumbup:
 
I normally steam or bake ramps.

Last weekend I was hungry so for lunch I made a frozen pizza but I put extra cheese, home grown shiitake mushrooms and about 20 cloves of roasted garlic on it.

Then for dinner I made beans and jasmine rice and put steamed ramps but not steamed enough on it.


The wife said my breath could knock a b*zzard off a Sh-tW$gon at 40 paces:eek::):o
 
Ah! ramps!!! Spent many a day sitting in the hallway with my buddies during the high school years for eating ramps and showing up for class!
