Nice,what is it?
Have you thought about dying it?
I have some burlap I think I'll dye a darker brown before making mic out of it.
But then again..natural burlap looks good too.
Yeah, that pattern on the one side looks cool.Got 'er done yet?anxious to see how this comes out!

it is two different fabrics. one is the natural burlap. the other is...well...i don't really know what you call it. some sort of cloth, but with a cool pattern.Yeah, that pattern on the one side looks cool.Got 'er done yet?
Go, man, go! I'm still wasting perfectly good leather and I can tell you it just gets more fun trying something you don't know how to do...yet.

Hey Pete, what is it,a belt hanger?
Nice stiching btw.
Course you do, that's the bit JK made![]()
[i think i will dump the resin mix in a foil roasting pan and just "dunk" the material in it...like i am making french toast, or a plaster cast. see if that works better.]
That's the way I saw it done on YT.
Nice dude, did you press it while curing?ok guys. i am pleasantly surprised. the burlap micarta came out real good. it is thin unfortunately, but i expected that. i am at least pleased with how it set up. i'll find a use for it. hope to make a batch that is thick enough for scales later this week.
