Beautiful work on the knife and sheath. This may be your first dovetails but you nailed it perfectly.

Not fair I still trying to produce a nice plunge line and you make
this beauty first time trying dovetailed bolsters!
This not headed to the dark continent is it?

Beautifully crafted knife....love the use of stainless with copper....the bolster of damacus and ash burl handle are stunning.

Well done! Excellent match up of the black ash burl bird's eye patterned wood with the bird's eye patterned damascus bolsters. Thanks for posting.

I agree with Phil. The knife looks like it was built with the skill of a master craftsman and the eye of an artist. Excellent knife.

Thanks to everyone for the great compliments! I'm glad you enjoyed!

No Dark Continent this year. My real job's still too slow for me to shell out that kind of money this year.:(

Phil,
I'm glad you noticed that. That's kinda the effect I was hoping for:thumbup:

Thanks again,
Matt Doyle

Matt,
Beautiful work and design! As others have said, it all flows together extremely well. I am curious as to how you attached the bolsters. I don't see any pins or other means. Did you weld them?
Randy

Hi Matt, Love the knife. Can you please tell me how your bolsters are attached i want to try damascus bolsters on a damascus blade but Im not sure how any tips. Thanks Brett

Nice. Is this done for art purposes? Personally all I see is stress raisers but for art I can see the value.

Brett,
The bolsters are hidden pinned using split roll pins, and then glued w/loctite speedbond 325.

Thanks again eneryone:D
