My First Becker: the BK4 Machax, What's Yours?

My first was the 9....tho there were a slew of them that followed. The 4 was way down on my list, until I actually got one....now it gets used pretty frequently. As my friend Trailbum says, "it's a great woods bumming tool".

I'd definitely like to see it. I've seen a couple custom sheaths. I just wish the mini sheath on the front was bigger so it could hold a BK14 without obstructing the BK4 handle.

I'm thinking about getting another and having someone mod it like this:

It's based on a bronze age hunting/war knife that there was a thread about a while back.

Straight line from the start of the "hump" to the tip. Still works great, but looks more badass ;).

Like several others, the 2 was my gateway Becker. I watched a review on YouTube, picked one up at a gun show shortly after. Then I also found Warrior's sheath mod thread and that's how I got here.

I love this regrind. It had been stuck in my head since I first laid eyes on it... For me, that version of the 4 is the Ferrari poster I had on the wall as a kid.

I would think any material removed would and weight lost would be completely negated by how sick it looks.

This photo pushed me to do mine. Thanks, now I have Another project...

Thanks! High praise, considering daizee pushed me to do it (serious internet bullying....), and it turns out it's sort of iterative; basically the same as the Machax Warrior (Bladite's database sticky). I'm still happy with the way it came out (considering my skill level at grinding) and side by side with a stock 4, there doesn't seem to be a discernible weight difference. When I strip my other 4 someday I'll weigh them and find out....

I ordered both the 2 and the 4 at the same time many years ago (maybe 20 years ??). I've had several of those twos and fours over the years (plus every publicly released Becker), but now I only have the 9,14,15 & 16.

A 2 started it for me, since I Thought I wanted a tank, instead of a camp knife. Oddly enough, I Still don't have a 10 or a 16...

So, it was 2, 24, 11, 15, 5 and 4 purchased together.

the 24 was my first. looking for a decent fixed blade to keep in my pack brought me here, and every where i turned people wanted a becker necker. then i saw you could get (what I thought) the same blade in a better steel. After I got it, it was tiny. Then I added the factory grips and all was good.

My first was a Camillus BK4. Here it is on loan from the guy I sold it to this Spring with me and the Boss.

I got them within days of each other so I think my bk2 came in the mail first though i ordered my bk17 first officially so assuming we're talking about purchase order mine was

Bk17
Bk2
Bk14
Bk11 serrated
Bk11
(Bk 4, bk5, bk15) one order
Bk15 again
Bk5 again

Next will be
Bk4 again (this weekend hopefully lol)
Bk9
Bk16
Haven't figured out what comes next after that yet

Old camillus 11 than tried a black jack bk2 I think it was but sold that. Then a bk 4 and 5. Wish I would e got them sooner. Very handy

My first was a 2, which I foolishly sold eventually. Then, after realizing the folly of my ways, I got an 11 and a 10 and a 14 and now, two 2s enough 5s to last me my lifetime plus, a 15 or three, a user 16 and a saber ground 16; then there's the 4s, oh, and a 3 and - oh man, I better go check my knife closet and stop typing before something thinks I have a problem.:rolleyes::cool:;):D

BK2 for me. No change from day one for me! I wanted a knife with a kind of mental list of specifics I wanted. YouTube searching got me to see David of ultimate survival tips' review and soon as I saw it I said "that's the one for me!" So imported from good guys at Tomars, checked more YouTubers as I impatiently waited, et voilà a brand spanking new BK2 became mine. Loved it ever since, in fact more I use it the better it seems!
