I went to visit my brother this weekend and we happened to see that there was a gun & knife show, so we popped on over and did some shopping. He wanted to browse and handle a few pistols to see what was what, and i wanted to handle some knives. He had very little luck, but i found a Sebenza. One of two in the entire show. I had to get me a large 21. I was helpless. Well, now i need to sell a few knives on here to offset the extra expense. I am a good ebay seller, but i want to sell here, to further establish myself as part of this community. Everyone here has provided such massive amounts of information and help in my knife hunting. So, what i would like to know is what are some good features to include in my listings? Over the next week i will take plenty of pics. What else might people want to see or know? Thanks and i look forward to what responses i may get.

Picture's , Edge condition, Age, Edge Type, Steel type, Box?.. Most will ask how the lock up is.. If its a framelock or linerlock.. The amount of engagement is important.. Always note if there is horizontal or vertical blade play also.. And that goes for any lock..
Thats about all I can come up with for now..
Good luck..

A good idea is not to start threads in General that pertain to buying and selling. :D.

+1, All good, pertaining to edge condition, is it sharpened or unsharpened? and if it was sharpened what method was used to do so? Measurements, any and all you can think to include, a micrometer is needed for thickness measurements, a tape measure doesn't cut it in these parts. Make sure to mention payment and shipment methods you plan to use. Priority shipping with DELIVERY CONFIRMATION! Delivery Confirmation is an extra 1.00 approximately, and it can save you a lot of hassle if somebody wants to get "cute". One more suggestion, if you plan on using paypal factor the fee into your price from the get go, none of this "if using paypal add 3%" business, paypal frowns on that and so do some members here. I'm sure theres more.:D

Excellent suggestions. Thanks for the tips. Just to clarify, these knives are production knives from my collection. This being the case, are the official description measurements sufficient?

did you go to the houston gun show? i wanted to go but didn't have time. was there a large selection of knives at the show? is it mostly production knives or custom knives on sale?

Yes it was the Houston one. It had a fairly good number of knives. There were mostly production knives. I also saw two tables with custom blades. What i was surprised at was the massive amount of cheap knock-offs that were exact copies of popular production knives. Many of these were simply in buckets(yes, actual buckets) marked $10 or 3/$20. That sort of thing. Lastly, i was also surprised by how small the Kershaw skyline was. That and the fact of how badly i need a green g-10 Spyderco Delica.
