I was probably in my 20's when I seen the show using that tool and I thought Norm used a regular drill press

Norm did use a regular drill press. It had an attachment that allowed the special bit to work, which works fine but is a PIA to change and set up every time you need it. I was working on a gazillion flutes that had square holes for the sound hole so the dedicated machine was worth my investment. I have since used the tool twice...

Good deal its not as bad as I thought then....

At least for the foreseeable future I wont be walking around the neighborhood trying to figure out which house I live in ;0)

The attachment does look like a pain to set up, but for a total investment of 60 bucks it looks like an interesting idea, some square tube mosaic pins might look kinda cool

If you can connect it to one of those HF drill presses for $60 it wouldn't be a bad investment.
