my first car

Doesn't look like there is very much wrong with that KZ1000 to me. It looks in great condition, just tyres, battery, and an oil change I would bet. My second bike had been stored for 6 years before I bought it in 1968.

Anyone notice that huge crankshaft in the metal basket. How many damascus billets could you forge with that!

Finally, I'll bet money that car doesn't end up in a crusher and bet that it is a nice warm garage already.

Six years is a lot different than 24 years. I'd expect any rubber parts (gaskets, seals, hoses, tires, etc.) to need replacing after sitting that long. Maybe they'd be fine, but I wouldn't want to depend on it. If buying a vintage bike, I'd prefer a regularly-ridden and maintained machine, even if it had many more miles and even a ding or two

Tank rust is also very common in bikes that haven't been ridden regularly.

...before I bought it in 1968.
I wasn't even born yet, and you were on your second bike... :D

If not, it reminds me of the M1 garand post, where someone posing as an idiot teenager ruins a really expensive heirloom firearm due to ignorance. everybody got upset, then it was all, ha ha, I fooled you.

m1 garand? you mean like this one?

haha, i fooled you:D

Hi All-

A scrap metal company obviously would not destroy that car. A manager at the plant simply wouldn't permit it to be loaded into the compactor or even get near a cutting torch. This thread is getting a little silly.

I got to this thread too late to call BS. Nobody in their right mind passes up that kind of crap just cuz they don't know what it is or what it's worth. You just say "yep, I'll take it all" and then sort it out. Good one, 'dbuck'. I was gonna call BS as soon as I saw you drove a 'vette (Chevette)'.

yeah they are, the bike was my dads and the car was my old show car. ive actually got 2 67 skylarks, the other is a sky blue/black top 2 door with a 340 4bbl. theres a funny story about that car, it was my 8th "birthday present"

in other words, me and my dad went to a car show and he seen it for 4000 and baught it "for me" i guess its kinda like when i buy him tools and they end up in my toolbox lol.

btw, do you KNOW how long it took me to set this up? moving that washer out of the wash room was a PITA. and the dust came from on top of boxes from my storage room that i redistrubuated using a shop vac. i even aired down the tires to make them look flat.

For some reason I fail to find the humor in this.......makes me want to stop trying to help people sometimes. Ya got me, congrats.

lol, its all in good fun.

you have to have a sence of humor to make it through this life.

Hi All-

It was clearly trollish behavior since the older Buick was darn near perfect. At the same time, if one believes they're truly hilariously funny they should post in the BladeForums Community Center section to share what they believe is humor.

Aw come on. You have to give credit to someone who can pull the wool over so many peoples eyes and do it so well... and then to do it twice.

If Ren or Gig One or Dan did it you would be congratulating them.

ok ok, heres the deal, sence ive been ticking so many of you off next time i pull one of these pranks im going to do 2 things.

the first thing im going to do is hide, some where in the pictures, something that will id me, if you have been keeping up with these threads and have a good eye you might spot it. it may be the garand, the buick, something from one of my rooms, could be anything that was in any of my old pictures.

IF someone can bust me in a week, and can tell the forum how you knew it was me (no blind guesses, you have to find the item that will bust me) ill buy that person a benchmade knife. IF im not busted in a week ill come clean and then later at a unknown time ill do another thread and upgrade to 2 benchmades.

ill be using different passwords, computers, and locations so not even the people who run the servers could locate me.

you never know when im going to pull your legs again, it could be in the morning, it could be in a few months. if you dont like me or these posts, find me next time i post and hit me in the pocket book, those benchmades are not cheap.

sound like a good deal? bust me and get a free benchmade.
