My first Case, Slimline Trapper

I got the urge recently to get a traditional folder. I went over a few at Cabela's and picked one that i liked. It's the first traditional folder i've owned and it will definitely see some pocket time.

That is pretty! Nice choice for your first. Have you picked out your second yet?
 
That's a good way to get into traditional knives. One of my personal favorites!
 
Congrats on your new knife. Although I've never owned that pattern, I have always liked the looks... Hard to go wrong with yellow.
That one will serve you for many years.
 
Very nice! Another pattern I don't own but that has had me enchanted as of late (I've been eyeing a Queen version). :thumbup:

Very nice first traditional. I have wanted one of those for a while. Welcome to the addiction of slipjoints. Very nice pictures too. Look forward to seeing what one is next for you.
 
I have been diligently searching for a bargain on one of the old two bladed Case Slimlines in CV.

Some day...

I carried my slimline trapper today! Case stainless that is pre 1970's. It is one of my personal favorite patterns too.
 
Good choice ! Given enough time, it will get under your skin, and if it isn't in your pocket you'll feel like you left the house without pants :eek:
 
Great traditional style. I've got a Queen Steel model from the 60's. Wish I hadn't put a hairline crack in the handle from throwing it playing "chicken" while in high school. I now have a Case, and another Queen. I love Queen steel, but also have no problems with Case CV.

Wear gives it character, you should be proud to own it because you have a story to go with it. all i get to say is "ooohh look, shiny"
 
Enjoy it...it is one of my favorite larger patterns.

I gifted my yellow CV Slimline to my Dad a few months ago, he wanted a long carbon steel blade and I figured the Case would do till I got him a custom like my 4" Jack. I am not without a barehead trapper however, I still have this 62048 to carry...

Cool knife.One of my favorite patterns.Some call it the"farmers knife"
 
I got a SS one from the 70's that gets wicked sharp and disappears in the pocket. It packs a lot of blade.:)
