My first Case, Slimline Trapper

I got a SS one from the 70's that gets wicked sharp and disappears in the pocket. It packs a lot of blade.:)

That's why I like 'em so much - you get a lot of blade in a slim, elegant, pocketable package. Plus, that long, slender clip blade (especially with the Case version) is just plain sexy.;):D

Cool knife. One of my favorite patterns. Some call it the"farmers knife"

Thanks for that tidbit, Randy. Makes me like this pattern even more. I hope they make their newest G10 model in CV soon.

Congrats, freedom. You are starting off right!

Back before the tactical knife craze those slim line trappers knives cut up many a dude in Texas beer joints. Guess what, they still will do the deed.

are there a lot of knife fights in texas bars? i've been to texas a few times but i'm not really one for bars.

Well I don't frequent those places anymore since the last time I did someone had their pop gun working to settle things but yes knife fights still happen.

Our county was dry in TX so no bar fights for us to break up :(, there were some good fights in the housing projects though :D, I helped investigate one on a warm summer night were an old Indian got the upper hand on a would be robber with a stockman. Laid him open from behind his ear to past his adam's apple. We found the would be robber by following the blood trail. Said he kept is razor sharp to cut bait with...I didn't doubt him cause I had seen him walking many times with a pole in hand.

But back to the topic, In the name of research (cough ) I just purchased a slim Case trapper with the number 61048 and the letters CV on the tang! :) It is seeing some pocket time....

I put my new trapper to task today slicing and coring an apple. it did quite well, i was pleased with how smooth it cut the apple.
