My first Case...Trapper lock, Trapper or Large Stockmen

I just ordered. Large amber bone stockman in cv and a trapper in navy blue bone. Thanks for all the info guys.

Absintheur, do you think the size trapper sheath you ordered from Bullard leather would fit the large stockman also. I see that there is two different sizes of that high ride sheath but I think the jumbo trapper sheath would be too big based on what I ordered, what size did you go with?

I'd like to get away with one sheath for both. (hopefully)

Nice choice. I have been eyeing up that large stockman for a while. Let me know what you think of it.

You got it.

I think I am going to try a couple different carry methods, in a sheath with my edc still in front pocket, front pocket by itself with edc IWB , Back pocket next to wallet ( I tried that today with a lakota freebie(roughly 4 1/8" and same aprox width as stockman) I got from the NRA for upgrading to Life Membership and that was very comfortable).

Knives came in today. They are very nice. I am going to start carrying them this weekend. I have a DM Bullard sheath on the way. I don't know why but I am kind of surprised by how well made and finished they are, I mean for the money, I purchased two and it still cost me about only half of what I would have spent on tactical folder. My tastes have definitely changed. I can see more purchases in the near future...those knives from GEC (the Northfield line specifically) have caught my eye.

Congrats. Post some pics when you can. I ended up ordering a amber jigged bone large stockman, and a amber jigged bone trapper as well. Could not resist since I got money for my birthday. I have decided to try and get as many amber bone styles as I can. I like them and why not. When the new ones come I will have 4 already.

I really like the my Large Stockman in SS and my Trapper in CV but the large stockman was getting the most use until I paired up a Elephant Toenail in SS and a Barehead Slimline Trapper in yellow CV. They are really a great pair, slip joints are so much fun to try out the different patterns.

I want this one so bad!!!!!

Yeah its natural/red inlay smooth bone. they made it with scrolled bolsters as well. I am hopeing to pick one up here in a week or two.

Bill,

Now if I could get one done in three different colors of bone for the Irish flag I would really be happy!

On another note I started digging through old boxes of junk I had in the attic and so far I have come up with a Schrade 340t (American made) and a Sabre barlow (Japanese made). Knives I got from pop when I was kid but weren't my style then. He's gonna laugh at me when he finds out what direction my taste in knives has gone.

Take care of it, a knife with a family history is a treasure.

Alright, might as well open up the flood gates on this one. Making another purchase looking to spend about 150 to 200. I really like the Northfield line of knives, will either end up purchasing one or two depending on what I'll be spending. The burnt stag big jack has caught my eye. Any thoughts on serialized versus unserialized, I plan on carrying and using. Also like the case swayback jack in stag and the case jack in mastodon scales. would like to maybe also get something small enough for the watch pocket.

I know these read like random thoughts but all this knife shopping has got me a little scatter brained. Thanks for all your input and info, it worked out well the last time because I love the case stockman and trapper that I purchased.

Ps: Absintheur that bullard sheath is awesome, I might end up with another in brown
