My first ESEE just shipped!!!!

i think everyone i met was cool as shit and very down to earth. there are some units/teams out there who walk around with inflated chests but in that tier you don't usually find them in the army or air force, or navy... or coast guard ;)

True statement. I miss my brothers the most... I asked my wife the other day if I could go back in the reserves... I thought she was going to stab me... haha

that tempo definitely can take its toll on a family. i blew out one of my knees and found myself on recruiting duty, i've been doing that for the past several years now. its not a glamorous job but a lot more family-friendly, especially with young kids. if i didn't have them i'd go back to that lifestyle in a heartbeat.

haha.. I had 4 knee surgeries and they put me at a desk job. I went stir crazy after 6 months and had to get out. I wish i would have stayed and just got a new job.

its a hard transition that definitely takes some adjustment. but like they say, it pays the bills. i justify it because i like being able to still serve any way i can.

i used to carry a compact usp, now i'm a glock guy. make sure its on you at all times and there shouldn't be any problems!

you won't carry a compact usp or glock? i used to absolutely hate glocks when i had my hk. now i've come full circle and appreciate them for what they are.

Glock, I had one click for me in a hot situation. One strike and you are out with me. I carry a XDM 9 for my EDC now. gLocks are well made, there is no doubt about that.

damn that sucks, i'd probably feel the same way in your shoes. i've been through 4 glocks so far and didn't have any issues with any of them other than a faulty magazine with my .357 G32. i'm back on the 9mm G19 now. i like the xd series also, my wife has an xd9sc and its a pretty smooth no-nonsense shooter.

I had a XD 9 I put some money into to do some 3 gun about two years ago and it got yanked from my truck one weekend. I bought the XDM 9 and shot out-of -the-box better groups than my custom XD.. I was sold..

that's cool. i looked at the xdm 3.8 but it didn't make sense to shorten the barrel and keep the full size grip. now they just release the xdm subcompacts so i may need to take another look at those.

i bought a gen4 g19 back in sept/oct and i love the shorter frame and new texture. it has completely replaced my older glocks for carry.

do you shoot idpa or anything?

during the summer i'm at the range almost every week or every other week. i did a couple idpa matches this past summer just for fun. i can't take the weird scenario type shooting too seriously though. lately i've spent most of my time practicing doing dry fire drills in my house.
