I've made plenty out of skinner blades but this is the first stock removal blade I have done. It is 1/8" 1095 with walnut scales and brass pins. I got David Farmer to do the heat treat for me.

Still need to put on the final edge and make some pants for it.

Initial sketch. I combined the blade of one nessie I liked with the handle of another.

That is really awesome! I love this style of the Nessie. Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to see the sheath you make for it.

Good Job, I made my first Nessmuk this week and let me tell you, it's no where near as nice as yours.

Very good work 'Bruche! That thing is pretty!

Great job on both man, those are awesome. And I'm not even partial to Nessies. That koster blade looks like it might actually fit my big ole' mits now!

Bocote? I love the stuff, thanks to you! I have too many knives at about the same size at this point...need to thin them out. That Koster looks excellent. What's the sheath like?

The Nussmuck is not extreme enough. You would be dead in a minute if you don't have the following:

1) Tactical Surface coating on the blade.
2) A hollow handle to store stuff in
3) (most important) a SKULL beaded fob!

Looks VERY nice - Heirloom quality for sure!

Post pics after is is ALL done - I would love to see it!
