How true Esav, and after dealing with a few of those dealers, Scott USAmadeblade, Chip Top Quality, Derrick KSF & Blade HQ there really isn't any good reason to go elsewhere.
Excellent customer service is well worth a couple of extra bucks.

I'm glad I read this post...had been wondering about BB's service and products. Seems like they have some models nobody else does, with prices that reflect that.
 
Got my M390 PM2 from BBS 3 days ago. Arrived in perfect condition. The only reason I ordered from them, is for that particular iteration of the PM2, they are the only game in town. Went to New Graham Knives and picked up my S110V PM2 the next day. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with BBS.

I have to admit, I own a BBS exclusive PM2 -- the much-mentioned M390 variant. But as a New Yorker I bought mine on the exchange and got great customer service, lol.

I wonder why Spyderco still do business with BBS, besides the fact that their name has "Big BS" in it; their business and value principle is just contrary to what Spyderco stands for or am I wrong about that...?

I'm very happy with my M390 ZT 0801 Bronz and my M390 Benchmade 710-1401 and my M390 Benchmade 484 and 485;.... and my M390 Spyderco....... nah....... I just consider Spyderco doesn't know how to sell one properly... I'd buy one in a heartbeat from any dealer other than the Big BS.

If your're an authorized dealer and place an order with cash up front its unlikely Spyderco would say no. Unless BBS starts literally scamming people or breaking authorized dealer rules(selling fakes, undercutting MSRP , etc,) they're probably not going to lose their authorized dealer status. I ordered from them one time solely for the m390 para, I too dislike them as a dealer and probably will never buy from them again due to their poor CS and ridiculous fees/prices
