Unfortunately today I had to return a knife. This was the first time I had to this. The knife in question was the BM 755 MPR. I did a lot of research and watched a lot of reviews and things upon making the purchase and thought it was going to be an awesome knife. Like many who have reviewed it, at first glance I was not impressed by the look of the knife, but after a while I did like it.
The reason I returned it was because it simply was not what I was expecting, and especially for the $230 price point (I got the blacked out blade). The blade was totally off-centered and was rubbing against the frame of the knife, and the stop-pin which is supposed to be able to adjust the lock-up of the blade did not function properly (I changed the face of the pin to almost every stop and it did not help whatsoever). The initial lock-up was extremely late, but there was still a significant amount of up and down play which is a big no-no. There was also minor side-to-side play, but once I tightened the pivot it was much too tight to open. All in all I am pretty sad about it because if it didn't have all of those problems I would have thoroughly enjoyed the knife.
The good news, however is that I did just pre-order a knife which was the CRKT hi-jinx. I'm a little weary of purchasing a CRKT for that money, but from what I have seen and read its basically put together by Lionsteel who as we all know is known for quality, and thats really what led me to pre-order it....and IMO it looks like a sweet knife!
Have a good day y'all!
