Found this Combo set on the Cabela's website tonight. Country of origin not stated but 420J2 steel identifies it as China.
They are listed as a Cabela's exclusive. Not what I was hoping/expecting.

They were expanding their facility. I don't think this is it.

Hopefully they also have a USA made line of Remington knives made by Buck. Remington currently has knives that are both made in USA and overseas so all might not be lost.

Remington Knives will be made in Post Falls. Thinking they will be made in China was like the 300 series being discontinued.

Remington label will help Buck Knives expand its reach in sportsmen’s market

Buck Knives’ new licensing agreement with Remington Outdoor Co. could create a “signficant revenue stream” for the Post Falls manufacturer, a company official said.

Remington-branded knives will be made at the company’s Post Falls factory and sold by Buck Knives, which will pay royalties on the sales.

“Now we’ll have two different brands – the Buck brand and the Remington brand,” said CJ Buck, the company’s chairman and chief executive. “That’s two iconic, American brands that deliver solid and affordable products to outdoorsmen.”

Buck said Donald Trump’s presidency has renewed consumers’ interest in buying American-made products. The licensing agreement will help Buck Knives expand its reach in the outdoor sporting knives’ market.

“We look forward to a great partnership with Buck Knives,” Jordan Davis, Remington’s vice president of marketing and business development, said in a news release.

Remington Outdoor Co. is a subsidiary of Remington Arms LLC, which is better known for its firearms. The privately held North Carolina company is one of the largest domestic producers of ammunition, shotguns and rifles.

Buck Knives is remodeling part of its factory to produce the Remington-branded knives. But it’s too soon to tell whether sales of Remington knives will lead to additional hiring, Buck said.

Buck Knives employs about 300 workers at it Post Falls’ factory.

Perhaps rushing to get some product in stores for the holiday sales?

I'm pretty sure those pictured are Bear & sons made Remington knives, they sure look like them.

I meant the ones later on. Like this year.
The later Bullet knives were made by Camillus until they closed. Then Bear started to make them. There were some knives made in North Carolina as well but I'm not sure who that company actually was. Maybe someone else knows more about that.

Talked to Cabelas' rep. The knives are made in China. Imo it makes no sense to me, unless Remington gets an unbelievable price because of Buck doing business in China. Why would Remington sign on with Buck to have China make their knives when they could just have had China make them without Buck's involvement? Why would Buck want to associate their brand with more China junk?

are the new remington bucks gonna be duel branded like the buck tops stuff?

if that liner lock was a 3.75" blade or larger with 420hc steel and made in america by buck, i wouldnt mind owning one.

My thinking is that Buck had the equipment in place in China and no matter the company, it's about profit and loss. Buck and Remington are going to do what they think will make their bottom line stronger. JMHO, Preston

In the interview with CJ there is a big push for USA made. Who cares if they make some gift tins in China. The bulk or mainstream knives will be built here, most of the tins out there are China made unless it's the 110.
