Hello Forum,
I invested some of my tax return in a Spyderco Military Model. I chose Knivestown.com to handle the purchase, I feel $149.00 with the SV30 steel, and black combo edge blade is a good enough price for me; I found them cheaper elsewhere, but I feel the few extra bucks they charge they invest in their business. The knife I received was dull..... run your thumb down the blade with pressure applied dull, I contacted knivestown, they contacted the distributor who sent out both a replacement and a call tag to return the other, no questions asked, no hassle. Now three days later there is a new "millie" in my pocket, and the dull specimen is still waiting for the call tag to arrive so I can ship it! I think knivestown is a great store, and if you don't have a reputable place to shop it's worth checking out.

Welcome to the forums, TMonroe!

The Millie is one of the best knives made, period. I started out with a CF BG-42 and now I have four CF and two S30V Millies. I love them. :)

Welcome to the forums and welcome to Spyderco. Please don't try that sharpness test with the next Spyderco you get. I'm up to 35-40 by now and they have all come razor sharp. Yours was surely a rare exception.

Glad your dealer made it right for you. The Military is a great knife. I've done everything from sharpening pencils to making fuzz sticks to cutting drywall with mine and she's always ready for the next chore. Mine is satin finish but I hear that Spyderco's black blade coating is just about the best in the business... should hold up real well for you.

Enjoy... and you might want to check out the Spyderco subforum here on BF and also check out their company forum on their own web site.

You paid a little more, but sounds like you got excellent service and that doesn't always happen with the lowest price.

as someone who might have just ripped off on ebay for an endura- i say congrats and good move!

Hi TMonroe,

Welcome to the Bladeforums and thanx much for your trust in Spyderco.

I agree with your choice to support good dealers.

Congrats. SPyderco is awesome. Glad you had a good experience with your online purchase.
I no longer even consider EBAY or such. I am so pleased with the service and professionalism of New Graham that it is a no brainer that I'll use them in the future.

Wow. Paying $149 is alot, When you can pay $110-$125 for a Milie and still

get great service. But that's just my 2 cents. ;)
