My first trip to the Spydie Outlet - an ode to joy

I'll be making that trek soon as well. The Spyderco outlet is only a 20 minute drive away from me. I've driven by it several times but always thought it was just offices. Then I found out my good friend/boss had given Spyderco byrds as christmas presents to all employees last year and he bought them at the outlet. I'm looking for a new EDC and the Caly3 and Native are on the top of the list

I'm planning a trip to the sfo myself....can anyone give me the address? I'll be in Denver next week for a couple of days for the first and most likely last time in my life (I live in Germany and will be there for a wedding). I've got a busy schedule, leaving me only a couple of hours to find the place and buy knives! This has to work the first time around. Any infos would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what that address is. I'm positive on the address I gave you since the outlet is 20 minutes from my home in Eldorado Springs and I've driven past it several times. Maybe someone from Spyderco knows what that address is.

Folks have posted pics of that jewel. I can't remember if it was here, on a different bladeforum/subforum, or on the Spyderco.com forums though.

I'm going to the store around Labor Day!

I've got inlaws that live near Golden. I've insisted that a trip to Spyderco was required when i go there over Labor Day.

MG_Saldivar you're indeed the perfect example of what it means being a knifenut! Great story there! And I certainly would want to thank you for sharing your enthusiasm in this most humorous of ways.
However I would have looked for the nearest fire hydrant around "the outlet" just so as to permanently mark territory - it being one happy spydienut's most favorite spot on earth. And so you didn't even use the men's facilities after such a long neighbourhood drive?

They began as a pharmacy and still are, with a lunch counter.
As a knife knut, Mr. Dye availed himself of the opportunity to put in a display of knives ... and the rest is the stuff of legend. ;)

GOLDEN , COLORADO...What a great city....The Coors Brewery and Spyderco Outlet in the same town..Now if we can get a Nymphomaniacs Convention there it would be a perfect vacation spot.

How far away is the Spyderco Factory outlet from the following 3 places:
1. Denver airport
2. Red Lion in Central Denver
3. Colorado Convention Center

I'll be in Denver next week for a business conference, and would love to get out to Golden, if I can sneak away.

The convention center is pretty much in the center of downtown Denver and thus pretty much in the center of the Denver metro area.

Golden is a suburb on the far southwestern part of the metro, about 10 - 12 miles from downtown. Denver International Airport is on the far eastern side of the metro, a little less than 10 miles from downtown. I'm not sure to which Red Lion you refer but downtown is not that huge...

The convention center's "how to get here" page mentions how to get TO the convention center FROM west Denver -- following those directions in reverse can get you out to Golden easily.

I plugged the necessary info into this Google Map search string.

Feel free to PM me if you want some more advice but you should be able to navigate pretty easily!

On my way out of town Thursday to go backpacking I just happened to drive by the Spyderco Outlet. I looked around for a new EDC and settled on the Centofante 3 FRN. I didn't pick it up then but I did get a Byrd crow and raven for only $38! I used the crow on my backpacking trip and will post the pics and impressions later.

From the sounds of it, that was quite a trip. And I'm jealous of all the new hardware!

I'm pretty sure that they don't, but has anyone seen an online Spyderco Outlet?
