This Friday is my anniversary. You die hard, traditionalist are probably going to kill me for buying something that is such a funky color.

But, my wife has been bugging me for this thing for a whole year. I finally gave in.

I gave it to her on Friday (I can never wait with these things!). We shot it yesterday, and decided to take the kiddies out squirrel hunting today.

Knocking around in the woods with these two almost guarantees that no animals will be around for at least a mile :D But, it is still fun to go.

Sorry about the crappy pics. I had to play pack mule, carrying diapers, hot chocolate, and enough food to last me a week (the kiddies, about an hour) :D Which means, no big camera. I barely know how to work the point and shoot.

My princess, showing off her owl shirt.

That pretty much sums up my weekend.

looks like fun, even if you had to struggle with the little camera.

what is that stock made from? its not micarta is it? that would make for a mighty heavy gun... looks pretty cool though, i wouldn't mind carrying it. ;) in fact, if i owned that i would probably have to paint my nails to match :eek:

It is wood. I am not sure how they make it. It looks just like the one they call "laminated" wood, but that one is kind of green/greyish. This one looks identical, just pink :D

Now THAT'S a 10/22... :p

Nice gift for your wife, man, and congrats on your anniversary! Your son looks like a regular little woodsman himself.

ha.. that is great... she looks happy... i bet that thing is pretty visible in the woods too..:)

my wife hates pink...:o

Nice stuff..Props for instilling values in your children..got a beautiful family and a lovely wife...You must be doing something right brother...Everytime I go out with my family it forces me to be really streamlined in my gear as I have to use the majority of my pack for carrying family stuff...

They can laminate wood any color. They color each layer separately then press them together.

I may be a traditionalist but I'd never criticize any man for buying his wife a rifle especially if she wanted one.

My only problem with the pink 10/22 is that it clashes with her blaze camo jacket. I think I've been watching too much Project Runway with my girlfriend.:o

That pink Ruger is totally awesome. I can NEVER let my wife see this thread...

Happy anniversary!
You have a beautiful family there!
AND you found a woman who likes and wants to own guns?
You are doubly blessed!
:)

Nice pics Brian, last night my family went to a holloween bonfire. my girls are 4 and 7. As I was loading our stuff up on the hayride i said to a friend " did you ever notice when you go somewhere with the kids its like moving" oh well it help get me some exersice.

Now just don't upset the lady or you might be in trouble.

Congrats and so happy to see you and your family enjoying the outdoors together. That is what life is all about.

Cool wife. Mine has a Glock 19 that I think I'm going to have the slide duracoated in dark purple (same as your's she keeps hinting about it).

Happy Anniversary Brian!

Thats a beautiful family you have there.

Cool rifle also, your gonna have to get her a pink Glock to match.

That's awesome man, congrats!!! Gorgeous family, those kids are cute as heck.

When I was a kid, my dad actually made a hot pink 1919 browning (belt fed .308) for my younger sister!!! Needless to say I was aghast.

Haha...It is her 3rd, and no troubles yet. So, I think I am safe.

Cool rifle also, your gonna have to get her a pink Glock to match.

When I was buying it, I was noticing that they are making all kinds of pink pistols now too. I didn't look close, but I think they were Taurus's.

I personally like Glock's just fine, but they don't fit Jen's hand. She actually has to hold them slightly crooked (which is not good) in order to reach the trigger. We shopped for 3 months trying to get a pistol to fit her right. It came down to have a grip reduction done on a Glock, or a Sig. She went with the Sig P229. Works for her, too small for my hands.

Brian what is your woman thinking, an orange jacket and pink gun that's a big fashion faux pa !!!! LOL !!!!

Only messin bro, congrats on the Anniversary and cool gift you gave !!!!!

It's always great to see the whole family involved in outdoor pursuits !

Good gift. It looks like you have learned the big lesson. Marriage isn't finding the right person, it's being the right person.:)
