My Idea... Maybe to start a bushcraft internet group under JK?

Modern hooks would be fine. Or you can make your own out of stiff wire or heavy duty safety pins. Something you might find discarded in a survival situation. I`m looking forward to this. ( and yes, I am just teasing you about your GF catching all the fish :D)

During a lunch break a while back I made a hook from a paperclip, sharpened with a leatherman file. Gutted 550 for string and cut a stick pole. Caught about a dozen bream with it.

Haha shes my right hand lady. She wont touch em but shes gotten good at lure selection and listens when i go on and on about how to target fish and how and why they react. Ill have to bring my mini tripod and fish. Probably just for sunnies but itll be fun. Ill make a day of it. I maydo the snare a different day. The way i make mine is with two sticks and a notch cut in both that fits together like a linkin log. Anyone else use this method?

I think i'm going to catch some minnows with a 2 liter soda bottle, cut the top off as a fish trap. Then i'll use those on a pole i fashion from the woods and try it out for some bass :-). We'll see how it holds up those bass out there are killers. If you guys are interested in a popper i made yesterday with my 110 and swisschamp check it out here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=758694 . Then, on my way back, i'll set up a spring snare. So i'll have trapping fish (if it works...), catching fish, maybe spear some sunnies? and making a snare. I may even go as far as making the entire snare from woods materials.
