Pretty much my exact thoughts! I do like that quite a bit, and will most likely not be able to resist
 
I received mine this morning around 11am, and I am very impressed. Its one of the best "do everything" knives i have ever handled.

Mine came a day earlier than expected, shaving sharp and it also included a catalog of of all the kabar products.

It held up well to batoning (something i rarely do) and whittling. However it exceeded my expectations for all other bushcraft tasks (i.e fuzz sticks, notch making etc).

I even threw in some kitchen work at the end of the abuse, and not only did it continue to perform just as well, but the edge was still able to slice threw paper with no problems.

Overall i think this is a great knife (esp. for the money), and I'm sure most of you will agree.

Oh, and I think i will like even more after i strip it ;)
 
Any idea where to get one? I have searched around with no luck. Wanted to get more specs on it too.
 
I actually really like that blade, might have to get me one, got any pics of the back of sheath???
 
I like the looks on this. Seems to be a great blade for a great price. Will look into getting one in the future, possibly.
 
The leather version is a Blue Ridge Knife exclusive so you have to find a retailer that gets their knives from them. I called a few but it looks like they are not available just yet.

The back of the sheath is flat until it gets up to the hilt, takes a jog and then is flat again. There is nothing on the back of the sheath that would deter you from buying one plus it's the same sheath that comes with the short kabar which I'm sure there is a detailed video review on youtube so you can see all the details.
 
wow...this looks like that size I wanted between the BK2 and the Izula II or Eskabar...coolness......and only $50!.....its on my list
 
wow looks like a sweet blade! i was kinda looking for this size, small guard, grind and semi-military-look for a long time....it looks sweet. from what i read, there will be a leather handle one also?!?! cuz i'll get the leather one and remove the coating asap

why isnt it on the kabar webpage?
 
This knife looks good! I will probably end up buying one sooner or later...
Does anybody know how strong (wide, thick) the tang is on this model? Same as the "classic Ka-bar" ?
 
I was interested in getting either the kraton or leather handled one, but I wanted to know how it compares in size to the short Ka Bar. If anyone has both and can show me a comparison picture, I would deeply appreciate it. Thanks
 
If folks are going to wait for the leather handled version of this very cool knife, don[t forget that there will be some Becker Tweeners coming out later this year in....when was that again? But I think they will compare nicely to this type of knife.
