I wanted one of these blades as soon as I heard about it.....I have an original issue made by someone else and hate to use it because it is a collector piece........The new Ka-Bar version is a great knife, handy as hell and a using classic.......They issued EVERY sailor one for rope work and such.....Lotsa stuff during the Big War 2 on ships was held in place or otherwise involved Manilla (hemp) rope and knots, splicing and cutting this very abrasive and tough fiber was an everyday proposition......This is a REAL tool........I will use this one a lot.......

Anyone else have one of these?.
i am really considering getting one but I'd like to hear more thoughts about it.
