Thanks Will. I was going to build a metal table, but then found this one. I know the perils of wood benches! With the metal i don't have to do the "smell test" for burning smells before i leave the shop.
Thanks Don! I was going to mount it this way underneath the tabletop, but I had already painted the tabletop and did not want to cut a nasty hole in it
. I sure will be safe thanks, you always have to be focused around grinders, especially due to there being no guards on most of the moving parts in sacrifice for ease and comfort of use, use the slack belt above by the tension wheel, platen, all parts of the belt as needed.
Hi Sam, it's great to see you have your new KMG set up. I know you are excited to grind up some steel. Congrats!
As Bruce mentioned, I have my motor mounted under the table, but the pulley and belt are protruding out from the table without a guard. My son gives me hell for not having protection there. I'm sure if he saw your set up, he would say the same, maybe more. Be careful, and enjoy!
