Serious collection man. I can never hold onto a knife that i don't use for too long. I like your variety. Where do you keep that many knives?

Thanks:D The Roselli hatchet works great at splitting...it's a little too fat for any carving like you would get with the GB's.

Lambertiana- I never get tired of that Blue Northstar- well until I get mine sometime next month!! I just hope that my mosaic pins are as nice as yours. I assume that the puuko shown is a Wood Jewel? How do you like it? I just gave the one in my "last weekend" picture it's first workout and it was great, I think mine has a bit longer blade though.

I love these threads!

That blue North Star is currently my go-to fixed blade for backpacking. And yes, that is a Wood Jewel. It's a great knife, I like it a lot.

Wow you guys take some great pics and have awesome collections....I forgot to put my neck knife in my pic so when my kat knife is done i will be posting some more pics...and they should be better as i have learned alot from all of your pics. Thanks for posting everyone and have a great week. Also today is Bryans 39th birthday. Shh, don't tell him i told you.....Happy Birthday Honey......

I'm starting to think I don't belong in this forum. I was more interested in the books you had than your knives. I had to go back and look at them.

BTW, How did you like the Complete Wilderness Paddler (I'm assuming it's the one by Rugge/Davidson)? I thought it was very good.

Richard Jamison's book is also excellent. The one next to Wiseman, Outdoor Survival Skills, is that Olsen?

I got the Wilderness Paddler as a gift about 13 years ago..after I almost drowned, running some class 4 rapids in a canoe. I love the book, its got some great techniques.
Yup, thats LD OLson's book. Another great one.
I like my books almost as much as my knives. Gene

I especially liked the technique to rid yourself of black flies. :D

I only saw one in an uparmored HMMWV. Several of the Stryker guys kept saying they were issue-itmes but none of them have seen them:confused:. ATC's VTAC would make a great light-weight breaching tool...mostly for lighter doors, windows, etc. Than again, some would argue in favor of another 30rd mag for the weight. If you're vehicle mounted, it would be a good addition to your kit. You won't see to many regular troops carrying them, not the larger choppers.

Hello everyone,

We got done with my knife sunday and we went to lincoln yesterday, so i am just getting around to testing, taking pics and posting them. We saw Indiana Jones-Crystal Skull yesterday, it was good..

Anyway about my knife, At first i was very disappointed because the
handle is dymondwood and doesn't feel like you get a good grip like with g10, but Bryan sanded it down smaller and now i really like it. I guess is was just too big. I still think G-10 is best for gripping. Its better than micarta or dymondwood in my opinion. I chopped some wood and Bry still shaved some hair off of his chest. We don't have my sheath done yet. Kathy

Oh, I did a double take there for a second, I thought you wrote; shaved hair off your chest:eek: Thank god its just my crappy vision:D

Now wheres the pics. of the knife not Brians chest!
