My Koyote bushcrafter

I really like that Koyote.

It’s not what I’m used to seeing described as a bushcraft knife.

But that straight spine is angled down enough to place the point at the centerline; very much in bushcraft style.

I like the fact that blade has I little more belly than the average bushcrafter.

As one who likes to palm a handle I think the shape of the scales look very comfortable.

The sheath looks bullet proof.

I think that this knife would make a great all-arounder, from bushcraft to food prep to hunting duty; this knife looks very functional.

Though this knife is not in the style that I usually go for: I could see one of these in my future.

yea, the handle, although short, is very comfortable. and christof mentioned that the handle shape works very well with gloves.

if you are thinking about getting one, go for it. i got two more on the way, thats how much i like them. plus, christof is a great guy to do business with

BeartheDog. Could you post the dimensions of the knife in the photo you posted titled Cool, i.e blade and handle length? Thanks. John

Bear, thanks for the information and offer, but I think I will just go ahead and contact Chistof and order one. John

John- I'm emailing you back now.

Thanks for the comments, all. I have gone a slightly different path than a lot of others with bushcrafters, but I think they work out pretty well. The straight spine is for adding belly and for making both batoning and draw cutting easier (and safer!)

The belly- well, I would want a knife than can handle game in a pinch and adding to the belly seems to be the first priority there. It's also good for cloth and leather cutting and helps with food work.

Hey Mike,

I will bring mine for you to play with the next time we get out. It is almost identicle to Barber's.

I also have a larger Koyote knife with it, which I'll bring as well.

I know your quite fond of large knives:thumbup:
