My long lost knife! Thank You!

That is very cool!
I managed to hang onto my childhood scout knife and found it not too long ago.
It's undergoing a little spa treatment (translated: five minutes here, five minutes there of cleaning and polishing).
Many memories spring to life when it's in my hand.

That's Excellent that someone would do that for you! Brought a smile to my face reading you post.

I'm glad to know that it showed up Rachel ;)

I sent you a PM explaining....

Many, many kudos to you for this incredibly thoughtful act. It warms my heart to read this and I'm quite thrilled over it just to see her joy in receiving this surprise gift.

This little corner of the internet in BF's traditional knife forum is the finest in existance!

I had that same Cub Scout knife in about 1972-73. I remember carrying it to elementary school every day lol.

Nice - congratulations!

I agree - awesome shenanigans!

I have a similar story, I lost a GEC Beer scout when I was 21. I remember looking at the orange camel bone, or was it saw cut chestnut and after using it a few times each night it spoke to me. Anyways someone stole it , or I left it at the bar or who knows. Anyways I miss that long lost knife.

Seriously though, that is a great story, and kudos to Jake. Well done. I see so much generosity here on the porch.

Great on Jake :) I was hoping these shenanigans would work when he told me about it. Glad to see your lost knife returned Rachel~

Glad you are reunited with your old friend R8shell!

Good people pulling cool shenanigans.

So the mysterious benefactor reveals himself! Thank you, Jake! (and co-conspirator Sarah) ;)

It was all Jake; I just happened to have the important shipping deets when called upon, maintaining the element of soo-prise. :D

I was way happy to be included, though, and smiled from the moment he mentioned what he was up to.

Well done, Jake!

The surprise was half the fun, Sarah, so thanks for your part.

The spooky part: I wasn't expecting a package, didn't recognize the address, so of course I'm feeling the padded envelope it shipped in, trying to guess what's in there. I felt the bail, and the size and shape of it, and it crossed my mind that I recognized my knife from 45 years ago.

Last night I drank a (hard) root beer, and put an edge on this beauty.

Congrats Rachel so glad that fine piece of cutlery found it's way to you and great job by the conspiring benefactors.
