Nice stockman there, hope you post a picture of the first thing you whittle.

Some people just don't realize how much better traditional pocket knives cut compared to the thick modern stuff. ( most of the time locking blades aren't necessary for edc either ) you may have to get used to two handed folders, but you end up with the opportunity to think about what you're cutting and decide the best way to go about it.

You should take a glance at the traditionals section, you'll have your eyes opened to a whole new world of knives.
 
Nice stockman. I always carry a stockman or one of my Vic's in my right front pocket and a modern on the left.

awesome man, glad you finally got a decent knife. your mother must be awesome btw. as a child mine never gave me a knife..
