My new cigar cutter

Nice work folderguy! Even if the mod doesn't appeal to me, the fine workmanship is undeniable.

Thank you, sir. If I could, I'd have done, or tried to do, a nightrmare grind on it, but there isn't enough steel, thickness wise, to pull that off.

BTW, even though this knife is much easier to EDC, my favorites are my Strider SnG, ZT 0300, ZT 0400, Emerson Commander... etc.. I'm sure you'll catch my drift. This one has that hiccup in the blade... bad news...

You know that mod, and your mods, in general, are starting to look more and more like a knife I own! (that knife was formerly owned by a helo pilot) Good work! Very Interesting! Can't wait to see that thing work!

It works, lemme tell ya!

First job: slice the cap off a primo stogie...

Next: Slice an onion really thinly to make some French onion soup... A+

Then: Slice up some stale French bread to toast for the soup...

Then: Slice up some really hard, first quality parmesan cheese and chop it, for the soup...

Oh, it will slice paper like a razor...

What next? Hmmm.... definitely gonna try it out on some steak, both uncooked (time for a few vigorous thrusts  :D) and then, once charred, carve it up to down it.

Oh well, it's no Strider, but it has it's uses

I like the looks of your knife mod there, I wouldn't mind sumpthin' like that myself, it'd be one less item (cigar cutter) I'd need to carry around.

No kidding!

If you're mechanically inclined, take one of your old knives that perhaps you don't use much anymore, and go at it. Heck, even a grinding wheel can do a reasonable job. That little hook, or hiccup as I like to call it, sure does a number on a cigar.

Very interesting! I have always disliked serrated blades and never buy them, but sometimes get them as gifts. I may have to try this the next time I end up with one.

I have a few knives with serrated blades that are just fine, usually because they are no more than an inch long. This one however was almost half the length of the blade, if memory serves... Too long for me. Serrated edges are great for rope and so on, but for many other uses are more a hindrance than a help.
