I've had this Scott Gossman PSK Jr. knife for over 2 months now. I've had it ice fishing and camping as well as from day to day when I'm out and about. In all that time, the ATS-34 stainless blade has held up to everything I've thrown at it and it is still as sharp as the day I got it. I can't be happier with this knife and I think I've found my favorite necker. Really feels nice in the hand and in stainless, it is just what I need.

Thats a really nice knife, what are the specs and how much did it run you?

I have a big fascination with small(ish) simple fixed blades, especially ones you can wear around your neck. I can't wait for my Blind Horse neck knife to get here now!

midnite, jump over to the makers forum where Scott has his very own forum, good info and pics there.

I'm not sure but I think they go for about 50$

Very good price and that's a lot of knife for you.:D:D

Seeing all the pics, and the video of the psk are making me really want one. I like the larger version he is making too.

Couple of really dumb questions - first the knife looks perfect for a little woods necker! Nice! Did the sheath come with it or where did you get it? Also what knot is that on your lanyard?

K - Did Scott put the handle on the knife? Do you know what the slide knots on the sheath cord are called?

I don't have a ruler handy but I'm sure Scott knows the specs on the PSK jr. Greg Haugh of Loneridergrips.com did the black micarta handle for me. He does great work and you guys should check him out. This one actually has a hidden pin under the micarta that he put in to prevent the handle from shifting laterally. The epoxy is strong but this is just an added measure.

Scott took the knife back on the winter camping trip in January we went on and made the sheath for me. I tied the knots for the lanyard and can say they are a modified triple fisherman's knot (a.k.a. Grapevine knot). Pretty easy to tie once you get the hang of it. Allows you to adjust the height of the necker with different layers of clothing on. Just google it and you'll find plenty of pics how to do it. If you are still stuck, I'll walk you through it.

That knot config has always been my fav for neck lanyards, Kevin. Easy to slide the knots and adjust the length, but stays where you want it, too, once you've adjusted it.

P.S. Wanna sell that one to me at the April gathering? :D:D:D

You know you wanna!!! :D

Oh yeah, in case anyone was wondering, the knot on the knife is called a diamond knot also known as a friendship knot. Really makes a nice zipper pull too!

I love the Neck knives , I have a BK11 & SW and BRK&T PSK... but the Gossman neck knife is cool..Dang it ....I find myself looking to getting one....I like the set-up on the lanyard as well

Brian,

I have an A2 version if you really want one! Here she is.

MINE!!! ~Brian.:D

Feel free to delete this after you see it.

Looks real good with the handle, I think mine is in D2, but I can't remember now, its back at my parents place.

^^^oops, yeah it's A2.:D
The A2 is much more spear pointed, the stainless one looks like a drop point, which I never saw on a Gossman. Is that another mod you did?

Actually it's 154CM stainless. I only do other steel types by special request. I can't HT a large amount at the same time. O1 is the only steel I can HT up to 7 at a time. I've done these PSK knives in A2, D2 and 154CM but the cost is alittle higher because of the extra time involved.
BTW, 154CM is the only stainless I work with.
Scott
