My new fixture

I think we all aught to pack up our rifles and head to Wisconsin for some huntin.:D:p

Why is everyone mad at me? I was just trying to amuse myself at everyone elses expense.

Seriously, I was hoping to get ideas from others on how they made knives. Sometimes looking at things with no preconcieved idea as to what it does generates new ideas. There was some great sugestions on what that could be used for. I really wasnt trying to screw with anyone.:o

Yeah, you can't beat Kant Twist clamps! (Try saying that out loud...) I really like the T-handles on those larger ones, I may have to snag a couple of those myself. I use the little ones all the time. They'll get into places you couldn't get other clamps into, to.

Woohoo!!! I win!! I win!!! And I want one of your MAPs for a Bader II? Any easy way to mod it?

Email inbound and thanks! I'll contact you when I get a little more stable on my funding about the MAP. :D

Wait.... so it's NOT a paper-weight??!?!?!?

How is that even possible?

I smell a conspiracy!

And/Or you just started this thread so you could post pics of that insane stag!!!

Oh yea, and I forgot to mention I have a fixture in my shop that looks just about identical to that except for an extra slot for putting a Kantwist clamp in the middle of the stag/ivory.

I kind of thought posting a pic of mine set up would spoil all the fun though :)

Great minds must think ali..... Wait a minute!

Lets see a pic of it.

(if this alegid fixture really exists. Do you need a few days to "Find" it?)

Ah crap, I said "you use it to grind concave chamfers"

I meant dovetails, and it could be flat or concave.

congrats, TekSec

Sorry Keith, I wasnt sure what you were saying but it also mentioned belt grinders and 10" wheels and its not used on that.

I have that piece of red liner material and the 2" of bent nickle silver pin, I could send you that and say you got second place. :D

Haha! Implying I could go make one in a few days is GREATLY overestimating my ability to get ANYTHING done in a timely fashion!!!

OR that I care that much! :p

I'll get a pic of it tomorrow after school :) Be warned, it's not as pretty as yours!
