My new forge is up and running

Mike, if you are going to use both ITC-100 and Satanite, I would coat with the Satanite first, then ITC-100 as the innermost coating. ITC-100 is not just a stabilizer/protective layer, it is very reflective and can increase the temperature and efficiency of your forge as an inner lining. (Also it costs a lot more that Satanite.) Just put one or both of them on the innermost layer of the wool, otherwise you'll pretty much be wasting it.
