My new hiking stick, and why Bushman5 rules.

Hey mentor, whats that nessie on the wall in the first picture?

That's a nessie I made out of an old Green River carbon steel buffalo skinner a few weeks ago. The handles are two-tone yellowheart+padauk. I thinned out the flat grind and added a new cutting edge, and now it's a great little slicer.

its a 1.25" thick kiln dried red oak dowel, made for supporting a hefty load while slogging up/down a trail or whomping the piss and vinegar out of a big bad mountain lion :D :thumbup:

sorry i erred on the diameter, i do believe that one was actually 1.5" . dont know who i gave the 1.25" stick to, maybe my father....
