I like the look without the hammer marks, it really makes that beauty of a hamon stand out, IMHO forge marks would have taken away from the finish, I like it as is.
Well I did have the pleasure to handle Eric's knife today. That thing feels really great in the hand. The handle is very generous and the cord wrap quite comfortable. I think the blade shape is a real winner too - sort of a hybrid between a warncliff and spear point. Not too long and great for detailed work. In person - the hamond looks absolutely stunning. Definately a really great knife!
