Well, I finally got the stretch I was looking for from a trade on here. I traded 2 very nice knives for this one, but worth it I think. I just thought I would post a few pictures!

still my favorite Spydie!!! Does everything i want. Enjoy it.

Because of that knife I think I've personally sold about a half dozen Spydies myself after they've handled it.

Nice knife & Pics too!

With a full flat grind & a 3.5" ZDP-189 blade,The Stretch is on my short list

I just noticed it seems i could have wiped the blade down a little more in the pics, lol.... I have been playing with it for the past couple of hours, and I cant get over the smoothness of it. It produces the nicest click when it locks open too. Love it. I would put the smoothness of the action pretty close to an axis mechanism, which is saying a ton considering this is a lockback......

I really like my Stretch CF. I also plan on getting the Stretch FRN ZDP model because the ergos, size, and blade on this knife are all great. Very nice pictures.

I havent heard of any plans as of yet, I think the premium price is what keeps these things from selling a lot.. They feel great in the hand, thin, tough, and have an extremely usable blade shape. I think if they came out with a g10/vg-10 for around the $130 range, I would buy one of those too.

Great photos! I feel when the FRN models are released, a lot of folks will be able to experience this fantastic Spydie

There is one in my pocket just about all the time. This speaks volumes as to how I feel about this blade. Maybe not perfect but pretty close for me.

Cheers, Shane

Congrats on the StretchII. It's probably the ONE knife I would pick if I had to choose only one. Fortunately, I can have a Calypso Jr, Sage, Para, Manix.

Excellent choice! If there were a poll for "Sal's best design" the Stretch would be my choice. There's a Stretch of one kind or another in my pocket nearly every day.

Can't wait till the FRN version comes out :D

Congrats on the awesome knife.

How do you think the CF/ZDP-189 Stretch compares with any of the soon-to-be released Spydercos, for daily carry? I might be Stretch-bound.

Ask the Deacon :p he's a true die hard Stretch fan, one in every pocket.
If I had to give up all my knives except one, then the CF/ZDP-189 Stretch
would be the keeper. I find it a happy medium between the Millie and Para Millie,
it covers both bases.

Big plus for me, the stretch2 is left hand friendly and a very premium knife, which puts it above most. Its probably one of the nicest production knives I can own because im left handed. I cant even own a lot of knives I want to try, like the civilian, rock lobster, persian, lum chinese, bm 425, emersons, strider, sebenza without custom clip placement, or paying a premium above premium for a left handed strider, seb, or emerson. Us left handers are left out of cool knives... So its official, this MAY be my grail.... Very happy with it!

For my next acquisition, I may be looking for a Superhawk, havent decided yet..... Anyone know if the tasman salt comes in PE?

A question on the Stretch CF handles. Are they grippy or are they a little slippy?
Thanks

Its hard to say either slippery or grippy. I can put it into perspective however. If you have handled the militarys g10, consider that 80 grit sandpaper, the CF is more of a comparable 120 grit. Still grippy, just a little more refined.
