Ahhh, the elusive Skyline fixed blade...I have heard tales of this critter but have yet to set my eyes (or hands) on it. :(
Congrats on picking one up. How does it feel in hand?

Damn rain ruined my hike! Anyway...

texassteel25-yes the sheath came with it. The leather is a little thin and it felt "weird" at first. After sheathing and unsheathing the knife the sheath has broken in nicely and I am rather pleased with it.

OldSarSwmr-I agree it is an elusive little critter. I picked it up at on of the big outdoors stores (the "World's Foremost Outfitters"). They had 1 orange handle left, 1 black handle and if I had the money I would have snagged both (as well as the orange Skyline folder they had:D). I have large hands and have split a few pairs of 2XL gloves but for a smaller knife the Skyline FB feels solid in the hand. Also I prefer handles that don't thin towards the butt/pomel but my hand still "locks" in on the Skyline. Nice grippy G-10.

Bwolcott- don't own a Skyline folder...yet, but here are the dimensions right off the package- 3 1/4" blade, 7 5/16" overall, 2.8 oz. (4.2 oz. with sheath)

And of course it is incredibly sharp and has perfect even grinds.

I like the way it looks it strikes me as very simple also the orange G10 scales are a nice touch too.

Wow, I did not know those existed. When I first saw your thread title I thought you took a Skyline and filled the gaps with JB Weld or something to make it fixed. :D

That is a handsome knife ! Tell more about it !? Like nearabouts the cost. Why is it impossible to find ? Whats up with it !!

Tostig- if you look at my 2nd post I give the length and weight specs. Other specs are USA made, 14C28N Sandvik steel, G10 handle scales, leather sheath.
As to why it's so hard to find ,I've heard, is that it is an exclusive knife to one of the big outdoor/hunting stores...again just what I heard. Will give pricing and other info to you via email to avoid any possible deal spotting.

I like it and would probably buy one. No mega stores around here. (not complaining though)

The sheath looks similar to the Field Knife 1082OR I have. It is a bit odd, but seems to work ok. I worked mine over with mink oil, inside and out to help preserve it.

Cabela's carry's both black and orange G-10 versions of this knife. Believe they have a 1 year exclusive.

I cant find them either and I dont have a Cabelas anywhere near me to go and look for one. :(

Can't find em either.., wonder if they're an in store exclusive and not sold online or something. Either way, I'm wanting one bad!
