My new toy...Skyline fixed blade (pics)

Very cool! I might have to drive the hour to the nearest one. I still need to get the folder too

Saw them at Cabela's yesterday, a little smaller than I would have thought. Comes in a clam pack. That and the orange folder were 49.95.

never seen one before either looks niceeeeee!

damn now I know about it it's going to turn into a new obsession, can't find even a hint of it anywhere near me.

Call a random Cabela's and ask for the Kershaw 1084. Get pricing, and see if they will ship.

Maybe it would be good if someone at Kershaw encouraged Cabela's to stick these - and the orange flipper Skyline - on the website. That is, if increased market share, margins and consumer satisfaction are found to be desirable.

Suppliers lobbying "The worlds foremost outfitter" for more exposure on the website/catalog or in store?- crazy!

Sadly I think it's the other way around...ie Big Box Retailer tells (negotiates with) suppliers how it's going to go down.

Unfortunately most larger retailers use tiered fulfillment houses to service the E-commerce side their business. Looks as though the fixed Skyline will be a B&M item only.

Dammmnnnnnn I looked on the webiste and the nearest Cabelas is in Louisiana...

ohhh nooooo

does anyone know how long will these be available thru Cabelas? Sprint run type thing? Steady Production?

I really need a couple hundred of those !

You've got a Cabelas right by you now and I know you've been in there to see if they carry these or not!!! Let me know if they do because I don't want to drive all the way over there from Coos Bay unless I have to lol.

The Cabela's in Lacey WA has these in a locked case along with their folding Skylines. They had black and orange. I think they were $45 or $49 and the folders were missing the price label but I may have it backward as it has been several weeks. Haven't been to the one in Springfield to check yet. I picked up a couple blems of these at the warehouse sale but if I'm down there and no one has already posted I'll update the thread with the status in Springfield.... Of course someone could just call.

I can only hope there was enough blems to hit the secondary market

I too have fallen prey to the orange Skyline set.

They came today! Fixed blade is awesome, extra weight in the handle makes it balance really well. Sheath is made surprisingly well for the price, belt loop really stitched on well and rivet at top so shouldn't come apart too soon.

I picked up a fixed blade Skyline "blem" from kershawguy. Great knife, excellent value and top shelf service. I'm having a ball trying to convince myself where the "blem" actually is.

Try calling Cabela's customer service line to order; that's how I got my orange Skyline folder. It wasn't showing up on the website either. They were more than happy to place my order (they should be for the price I paid, $49.99!), and at the same time I ordered a serrated Chill for $12.99 (a great price!). Good luck!
