My new toy...Skyline fixed blade (pics)

I called up the closest Cabela's to me today (Hamburg, Pa) and they were more than happy to ship a regular 1084 out to me.

Are these worth the money?
I'm sure they would be a great collector's knife,
but can it do anything my CS Mini Hunter or BK14 can't do?

Both of those are in the same price range. I think it just comes down to preference and use.

It can be made in the USA and not rust easily. Neither of those can claim that haha.

Exactly, different strokes for different folks.

The Kershaw guy is selling the fixed skyline blems for $35
I was thinking about buying either a blur s30v and a zing in orange,
I was thinking about the fixed skyline in orange but since I have 2 blades of that size
I think it would just collect dust in the closet.
HELP PLEASE! I just don't know what to do!

Why don't you like the zing?
Is there something I should know about it?

And should I get a skyline blem instead

I have thought about it, but money is kinda tight,
and there are a couple other fixed blades I will be buying within the next few months,
but I might still do that

I'll let you know my thoughts on the skyline FB once it comes in. Cabela's already charged me but never sent me the confirmation e-mail I asked for. Considering how much I love the standard Skyline, I can't see being too disappointed.

I love my S30v blur and all but it's just not that good of an EDC for my carrying tastes.

I don't think I will be EDCing my blur very much, but I will once and while for sure
I like a light weight, thin folder for EDC myself
Just out of curiosity what do you EDC?

I was EDCing a Leatherman E33L up until I got my Skyline. I have a BM Mini-barrage for weekend duty. I never really carried my Blur, I've wasn't a huge fan of carrying my Leeks. I have a Surefire Dart that maybe once it gets warmer will work into the lineup (all aluminum handle gets cold in the winter!). I have a Kershaw OD-1 and a Buck Vantage Avid on the way that will compete with the Skyline.

Tell me how the OD-1 compares to the Skyline once you get it
