My new underpants knife.

Clipping your knife to boxers? How ridiculous! Everyone knows you should clip your knife to gym shorts for around the house. The knife is usually an MT LCC or CUDA EDC carried IWB.

Has anybody tried wave-opening an Emerson out of boxers?

I need to have something long and hard in my drawers, er, I mean ... TWO things long and hard .... :p

I think that falls within the category of, "don't ask, don't tell." :p ;) :p

And for the rest of y'all, may I point out the folly of placing sharp things in close proximity to all you hold dear? Neck knives are the way to go.

Frikken....CRAZIES !!!!

But....now I'm ready for some PANTYHOSE knife stories.

Like needing a knife while lounging in pantyhose but it slips into the foot.

Go:

;) :D

Hey, I used to wear a little neck knife while lounging in boxers, but I kept dipping it in my mug of beer, hence the move to the waistband option.

:) And I thought I was a bit unusual...

My "jammy knife" is usually a Spyderco lightweight blue Delica, although I have carried several others - both Benchmades & Spydies.

It all started for me about three years ago at Christmas, when my kids got me my first Delica for a gift. Out it came again & again, for use in opening the remaining gifts, and then being reclipped to the waistband of my pyjamas (Hence the name "jammy" knife).

In the hot weather it's on my shorts waistband too.

Fuzzyedge - I had the same problems with folders in a neck sheath  right into my beer.

Jeff/1911.

Apologies for the non underpant content but the spyderco Salt 1 is my new speedo knife. It sits clipped to the back of the bathers, nestled between my buttocks, all day in summer. If that doesn't qualify as a moist humid envrionment I don't know what does. Not a spot of rust either........

ming65,

Awww knackers! I was just peacefully enjoying a late breakfast, and you mentioned your arse crack! :barf:

I'm going to have to get out on my Trek & do a fast 20 miles in the hope that the endorphins will erase that mental image...

:D

A little surprised by all the fuss. I mean I just assumed that all real knife guys carried clipped to their boxers at home. But for the squeamish let me add:

1. I generally don't do iwb unless the clip is scratchy

2. A little hoppes and oil are wonderful "deodorants"

3. We can use "NIB2" - "new in box - never in boxers"

But really if you saw an ad for a "Sebenza, LNIB, hardly used, carried a few times clipped to my boxers" you all would "turn your noses up"? (Couldn't resist :D )

Yeah whatever you do, don't focus on it too much Max or you might never get it out of your head, kind of like a Kylie Minouge song........ :D

Actually, while we are on the subject (my bottocks that is, not Kylies). I'm a fairly beefy dude (think Ian Botham crossed with Gazza) and I used to cop a bit of sledging on the footy field (what, Aussie's sledging?) about the size of my rump.

My standard answer was that it takes a big hammer to drive a big nail........

also I think that knives returned for servicing should have a warning label attached if they have been worn IB (in boxers) or IS (In speedos) so that the technicians can break out the bio-hazard suits.

Didn't I read on the last page of the latest issue of Tactical Knives, where I guy saves the day by cutting the rope on his "soap on a rope" with his "commando knife". Sometimes even an underpants knife isn't enough.

Just got a Spyderco ATR. After reading this thread and thinking how light the knife is..........might make a good underpants knife. If anyone tries it, let me know. I have an aversion to extremely harp objects near my cookies.

I know this has been said before, but its still funny... The boxer short carry, is that a tip up or tip down carry?

Acolyte.
