THANKS FLIX:D

Hi all,

Thanks to Flix here on the forums. I was the winner of the give away that he was doing for the water bottle pouch that he had.

Here are some pics of it and some goodies that I have in the main pouch and on the outside.

I like sling kits the best and so I took a pic of how my RISK knife attached to the strap is warn. Right in front. always seen easy to get my knife out and put a way. This type of carry just works great for me.

A side shot. not the best but it gives you an idea.

I am very pleased with this type of bottle carring system and just wanted to thank Flix again for his post on making a shelter with a heat sheat that he posted.

Bryan,

I like those water bottle set-ups of yours. I think Maxpedition got the idea from you!

Rocky wolf I have the snow peak mini solo. it is a pot, lid, and cup.
So far I really like it mine.

BF1992 Yea It does, but I had to scale down from what I did carry in my other should kit bag. In time I will hopefully get some the pouchs like a caccoon pouch or something like that to add to the bottle holder then I will be back up to carring what I normally like to LOL.

I really scaled down on the my med kit. I have 3 3" gauze pads and 3 bandaids and some med tape wrapped around some spacer materail that I use in my knife making. then I carry some burts bees RES Q ointment.
I am not carrying coco:eek: but since the weather is not as cold, so I can wait till I get another pouch to add then hope fuly by next winter LOL.

There are a few other things too.

Meedham, thanks. Packs and fanny packs are ok but I really like sling bags,
LOL I did not think up the bottle holders LOL others long before I came along did though. I am glad they did too LOL.

Take care all,

Bryan

Nice stuff Bryan. Seeing that sheath up close - reminds me of a few I have over here.

I GOT A Q ................. I GOT A Q.......................... How the H**l did you fit everything in there in the first place???????????? Are a Magican???????????
I dont think i can fit that much in my backpack..

Great Kit!!

Hi all,

TF, LOL I am doing fine. I know you have not for gotten :D You will get time, I have faith in ya:thumbup:

kgd, thanks, I kind of like the leather stuff too LOL.

Coaldigger, thanks man. How is that sheath of your holding up?

Sasha, how are ya? LOL no I am not a magic man of any knid.
In the main pouch where the water bottle goes into. I put in 2 bandanas
and a half of one. then I put in the orange 550 cord and then head net. then the pot lid and then the bigger cup/pot then the steel water bottle then then I put the small cup on the top of the water bottle then It just zips up easy.
Then the little shovel goes in it pouch just like the binos go in there pouch. then main contents of the survival kit goodies I have put into a plastic bag that I got from a Doug Ritter kit. I have some contents from that kit to in this one. this pic gives show a bit more on the way it looks packed up in the plastic bag.

Well I think it does anyways LOL

Hi Sharp eye, LOL I hope the pic that I posted in the last reply I posted helps your ? too.

Bryan

I cant ever do what you do Bryan. If i would be tired and had to get something out in the field i think i would just leave everything behind me after giving up getting it back in there.
One of the reason i dont like tents. Cant ever fold them back in the bag. I dont care what you say i still think you are a magican and my hat is off for you.

Sasha

Great kit!

I've been putting off ordering the maxpedition pouch for the last couple days because I'm short on cash, and threads like these don't help!

Sasha, If you only new how easy it was to get every thing in and out of the front pouch and the pouch that holds the water bottle too. trying to explain how easy it is does not do it justice. Beleive me it looks like it would be a pain, but it is not. If you couldonly take to my wife and ask her how many times a day or even in a week I am getting something from my kit. One day I was getting something out of my kit and when I looked up ( my pack was on the floor by the night stand) and kathy was smiling and said I wonder how many of the other guys on the forums get in there packs or even really carry there packs like you do every day. I just laughed and said I am sure there are a few others LOL. You would just have to see how easy it is to pack up and then you would be like that is it LOL. someday maybe I will get a video camera and be able to post just how easy it really is to pack and unpack. Seeing is believing LOL.

MRpink, thanks. I know what you mean. There are so many wants but the lack of means to get them LOL. If it was for not winning the contest I would still be using my other shoulder bag for my kit. But since getting this bottle carrier, am just thrilled with it so far. I would have gotten one sooner if I knew I was going to like these bottle carriers so much LOL

cuphead, LOL it really does hold a lot and is really is easy to pack and unpack this kit.

Take care all,

Bryan

man those Max bottle holders are awesome, gotta get one some day.

This thread of course is just going to make me spend more money, so thanks alot Bryan.:D

I'm really liking the sling kits and Baldric style sheaths latly. going to have to look into this. It's not a purse if theres a knife attached to it!

Does it swing on you? or buckle down to your belt somehow?

Fonly, when you get the chance I really suggest you get one of these bottle holders I can not say it enough how thrilled I am with this one. This is my Favorite one so far( I have used and carred 4 others in just the last 2 years). LOL as to the spending money part, your welcome
buddy:D You will not be disapointed with one.

Munky88, You are so right about it not looking like a purse, And it deffently
does not with a knife attaced to it LOL:D. Since it looks like a bottle holder of some kind anyways.
As to the swinging part this sling type bottle holder Is the BEST that I use for not doing that. I bend down, kneel down, cross over fence lines( I live on a farm) I cross fence lines at least 3 times a day depending on which direction I walk to on any givin day as I am heading to the timber. I will say it again I am thrilled with the way this sling type bottle holder stays in place at the small of my back area.

Interesting to see so much gear on a baldric. I'm a big fan of the baldric. Latest effort is a little bag that is home to the #2 golok with a pouch on the front just big enough to hold a bit of a water and a few other odds.
