My next Russ Andrews knife

That is one fantastic knife congrats to all involved . I have not read through all the posts but I am curious about sub hilt bowies how does it feel in the hand. Again gorgeus knife

It fits my hand very well. The subhilt definitely restricts the number of positions you can hold the knife in, but for a regular saber grip, it works really well.

Having now spent a few days with this knife I felt I needed to give a more thorough review.

When people say, the photos don't do the knife justice, that is an understatement when it comes to this knife. There is no way to properly evaluate it without getting up close and personal.

It is extremely doubtful that the fit & finish could have been any better.

The blade is awe inspiring. The lamination was done superbly, and to look at it you would never be able to tell that there were three layers of steel welded together. The welds are invisible.

The fittings are a beautiful pattern and are made flawlessly.

The handle fits my hand perfectly. Though some folks posted that they didn't care for the material, I think it works fantastically well on this knife.

The knife is very light. In fact, it weighs about the same as the chute knife that I got from Phillip Patton. This is a great attribute in a fighter.

The sheath is of a quality that is befitting of a knife this good.

You guys are going to be in awe when you see the next knife that Russ is going to be making for me. It is going to be something to behold.

Keith, I know of what you speak. Like you, The more I looked and handled this piece the more I was impressed. I often can make a knife look 'better'. In this case, I can't.

Looking forward to your Round Three....

I have thought the same about every Russ Andrews knife I have owned - from plain to fancy.

Great job on the pic Coop, congrats to Keith and hats off to Russ.
