  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My next Spyderco....... Sage what?

Yeah, but im just wondering why they don't make the Taiwan marking better looking. They could also consider writing "earth" after it :D

I don't want to say, "I told you so", but what the hell . . . I TOLD YOU SO!!! :D

The 4 looked cool, but I'm not really into lock backs and the traditional look. Plus I wanted something thin and the sage 4 seemed much thicker for some reason

Looks like I really need one of those Sage 2s.

GOT IT!

OK, where to start...... Pictures just dont do this knife justice. It is soooo much better than I expected it to be! The fit and finish is out of this world, and you REALLY need to handle it to know just how amazing this knife is. The sound upon opening is borderline orgasmic. I love the framelock design and It doesnt seem to be showing any wear yet (ive been flicking it for a few hours). The knife came stupid sharp and cuts like a demon, even through cardboard (which Ive heard is hard with the type of brushed finish the sages have). The one thing thats iritating me is that the lock is a little sticky. It came a bit sticky, then had no stick, and now is more sticky than when it came. maybe that means its wearing? Should I lube the tang and contact point on the lockbar? Anyway, this knife is amazing. Its going to see LOTS of pocket time for the next while. My 707 will still always be my favorite edc, but the sage 2 will always be my second favorite :D

Even though pics dont do it justice and theres a million of them out there, heres some I took when I first got it. The lightings pretty bad, but whatever

Pritteh, pritteeehh, prittteeeehhhhh bad ass! I love my Sage 1, but now I want a Sage 2 (along with about 5 other knives...sheesh)

Update:

Loving my sage 2 more and more every day. Its just a perfect user knife! Everything about it screams "SOLID!"
The Ti handles are awesome for a work knife and I can use it for dirty work without hesitation because its so easy to clean and I dont have to worry about trapped water in any SS liners. This means its great for outdoor edc tasks as well as food prep, where you are constantly getting the knife slimy and covered in juicy stuff. The pivot is smooth and I find that if I add any grease or oil, it actually makes it harder to open, so Ive just been running it dry. Slices like a boss and looks amazing as well. My favorite Spydie by a long shot (but......i only have four so far hehe)
It took a bit of time to adjust to the looks of the knife, but now i have come to appreciate its beauty. The way I see it, spydies are meant to be traditional/straight looking, but only when you are holding them, THEREFORE the cutouts make it so that your hand is actually a part of the knife design! Talk about awesome :D:thumbup:

If forced to choose one knife to keep between this and my 707, I would probably just kill you and keep both, because theres no way for me to decide! I keep going back and forth on what I would do in that situation, but its impossible because I love them both in different ways. My other knives could be sold off pretty easily, but theses two would stay. That said, I still think the 707 is more edc friendly because its more compact, so I would pick it over the sage 2 for edc. However, as far as my favorite knife, they are tied, but with maybe a slight edge going to the sage 2 for the fit and finish and better materials. Love this blade:thumbup:
