I know there are more than a few Hogs that also carry & shoot. In that spirit, I'm posting pics of my IDPA/carry guns. The only two handguns I own, thanks to my INFI habit. I'm considering letting the Colt go. Looking for a different carry gun, primarily for pocket carry. Would like to hear from those who have some experience with any of the following:

Ruger LCP
Ruger LCR
Kel Tec .380
Kel Tec PF9
Kahr PM45
S&W 325
S&W 325 Night Guard
S&W 22 Thunder Ranch (the fixed sight one)
S&W 1917 (to do a Fitz special on, without modifying the triggerguard)

BaconBeavers: MOAB User's Group (MUG)

p.s. INFI at Work Pics provided for obligatory knife content:D

The nightguard is a sweet pistol.:thumbup: I have not shot the KahrPM45 but have had good luck with other Kahrs in the past.

I owned and sold an LCP. Didn't like it at all, even for deep concealment. It had very stout recoil, and was so small it was almost hard to hold on to...and I have small hands. I went with a Smithy 442 instead, and am VERY happy I did. Sold the LCP to a friend, and he dislikes shooting it as well. It would function for a BUG or last-ditch belly gun, but then the 442/642 functions just as well, and .38 packs more punch than a .380.

On another note, if you want some grip work done to that XD, check Www.boresightsolutions.com. GentleBen (the owner) is a good friend of mine who posts here occasionally. He's also a Busse man with an SHe and an NOe...thanks to me and some others here.

Well, mine is certainly dangerous and could kill people.
Why else would I carry it?

No experience with any of the firearms listed except Kahr.
My P9 of many years is superbly reliable and accurate, and I am strongly considering a PM45.

The SMith and Wesson 325s are a great choice. I have one of the 4 inch 325s and it is extremely light. In the correct holster it carries and conceals well. My favorite carry of the 45acp revolvers is my 625-10 though. It is a lightweight frame, but stainless 2 inch barrel and cylinder. It conceals very well for a 45acp revolver and I can even carry and draw from the front pocket if not wearing jeans or other tighter pants. With 230gr loads it is a bit snappy, but it shoots great with 185gr rounds. I would assume that the Nightguard would be pretty similar to this revolver but I have not had the opportunity to shoot one yet.

If you are looking for better concealment one of the J frame smiths would be a great choice. A 340sc is one of my EDC items, either as a primary or backup gun.
I don't have any experience with any of the other guns you have posted, but I will just say that after carrying many types, the J frame smith and 1911s are what I always end up going back to.

i guess handguns aren't so bad. but the bullets should have little numbers on them so that if you loose them somebody can find then and give them back to you.

I usually have no problem finding mine. They all hang together in the target :-)

peeple should learn how to run fast from danger, here's a picture of me running from a guy with a bomb in a little box. learn to run, that's the way to avoid danger! GregB should sell his guns and learn to run!

I picked up a S&W 642-1 two weeks ago and couldn't be happier with it. Great summer EDC as it slips into the jeans/shorts pocket and hardly prints. I've got a couple of pocket holsters coming that should help break up the shape even more.
Fired Blazer 125g. out of her last weekend and put 5 into a 10" cardboard disc (frozen pizza packaging) about as fast as I could pull the DA trigger. I have Cor-Bon 110g. +P in her for carry. I'm still thinking of adding a Crimson Trace LG-105, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Might be nice for night use as the groove rear "sight" isn't the easiest to see.
This makes a great BUG with my G30SF or as a more discrete carry piece on its own.

Guns and blades go hand in hand.

Nice collection there:thumbup:

That 325 NG....love it, now you just need a 625 and call it a day:D

Thanks for sharing!!

this guy doesn't run or even have pockets, and his red outfit probably makes for a good target for those who aren't running from him.
