My "other" Hobby...

I have a Colt New Service that I had fitz'd. Don't bother. It's still a huge chunk of steel. Mine is VERY cool (high polish blue, re-roll-marked, etc.,) but useless versus a modern gun.

Nice pistols man. I've never shot competition, but, there is a team at my work and have considered that. Here's my two pistols, a springfield XD service model with Trijicon night sites, and a Kimber Desert Warrior.
At the end, my zombie killer.

Nice pics skunk.

Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, Knives and women's Underwear. . . That's what I'm talking about man, keep up the good work.

I carry the LCP every day. I agree with J it does have a stout recoil but thats to be expected I think. But from my experience with it I dont think it is any harder to shoot that the PF9 which I had and sold because it was so unreliable. The LCP has not ever missed a beat and is very easy to carry and pretty darn accurate too. I added a hogue grip and mag extension and it made alot of difference in the shootability of the gun.

I dont own a Kahr but I have shot them and have never heard anything but good about them and dont think you could go wrong buying one.

With that being said the next gun I buy though will be a ruger sp101. I dont own any revolvers but I do plan on owning that one.:cool:

Oh yea, I am a XD fan too!!;):)

I have had no issues with the PF-9. I have done pretty well with it at 15yd plate racks.

I need to shove a knife in this pic.

I think if I were to purchase a gun for serious purposes I would aim for a SIG p250. For gaming IDPA I wouldn't mind trying a M&P 9L or 9Pro.

Oh, and to add others I've used:

KT P3AT - good gun. Shockingly, you best be hanging on if you don't want it to FtFeed. It actually has too LITTLE mass to it. Another 2oz or so would have helped. LOL Makes a 380 feel like a 40.

I don't own a PF9, but I own a P11. The P11 works great. The PF9 is same weight and stats except for width. That would make carry easier, but not easy. I try and pocket-carry my P11 and it's on the heavy side.

I suspect the same thign with the Kahr 45. Right size, but heavy. (The 9mm seems the right balance - wish I could find one in MA.)

I'm required by my employer to have a CCW. I carry a Springfield XD45C most days, and once in a great while a S&W 442-2. I'll snap some pics one of these days.

I had an FFL for years and have about as many guns as knives:o My qaulity 22 rimfires are my favorite handguns and rifles.

For EDC, these have turned out to be my favorites. Sig 229 and 232, and Glock 27.
