  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My replacement MTECH Trail Master knock-off just arrived (now with pics)

Enough of the childishness.

Knife destruction tests by NOSS were wildly useful in my opinion and worth watching no matter how old you are or how much you know or think you know. He showed how far knives can be pushed. You learned which knives were the toughest and which knives weren't. Edge retention and yes how far blades can flex. Very interesting stuff. If your 13 on here take a step back and learn as much from these guys as you can.

I saw a 4.5 inch yellow handled Case, which was not a flimsy knife and the most common knife around in the 70's, after it had been involved in bar fight. Unbelievable what it came out looking like. The knife was destroyed with it's blade bent sideways past 90 degrees and caked with black blood, a grisly testament at what a knife may face as a survival/defense weapon. I would say it went through a real world destruction test.

Hey Blackie you can find a trailmaster for well under the msrp , I've seen it as low as $130. I would highly recommend you search around.

For the love of all that is sharp and pointy get yourself the real deal, got one for $114 shipped and it's amazing. And if that's not an option please look into the Condor Varan or Kumunga, 10-15 bucks more than your mtech and 100x the knife or if that's still too much the Cold Steel Bowie Machete!
