I carry the Al Mar Eagle most of the time when I go jogging. And I don't seem to carry it any other time. The other two are also good running knives and I use them for that occasionally.

How about you? Any joggers out there? Do you carry a knife? Photos please.

I don't go jogging anymore, but I'd say a Matriarch 2 would fit the bill nicely.

My knees can't handle running anymore, but if I was still running I'd probably go with a Buck Spitfire.

The only time I don't carry a knife is when I'm working out or playing sports.

I have not been out running too much lately and when I do, I prefer Dos Equis, I mean trails. My go to "running knives" are BM Pardue 530 or any of the several Mini Grips I own. the 530 is so light and slim you forget it is clipped inside the waistband of my shorts. Also If they were to get lost (unlikely) they aren't too costly to replace.

I haven't carried a knife while running, but I would imagine that one of the Spyderco Salt series would do well.

At 313lbs I don,t run ever, but I do walk 2 to 3 miles most days on a local bike/walking trail,
I always have my spyderco matriarch and sometimes a neck knife,
Also have a small cell phone case that I waterproofed with camp dry for rain and my sweat, I carry a NAA mini 22lr in that.

I usually run with scissors, but that's just me.

I carry a knife wherever I go, I usually carry my Brian Tighe mini-Tighe rod, Benchmade 530, or Spyderco Dragonfly ZDP-189. I don't have a pic of the dragonfly.

Spyderco Salt 1 with H1 steel. That way I never have to worry about rust, even if I sweat all over the knife.

When I walk my dogies I usually got my strider sng or spyderco caly 3.5. A lot of times I'm deep in the woods, always good to have a knife with me.

I run 5 miles every day......far more painful as I get older! I take a Pat/Wes Crawford lift-lock knife.....very slim, easy to deploy and ridiculously sharp!!

Delica 4...light and unobtrusive so it doesn't get in the way, and easy to clean should I happen to sweat all over it.

My work out routine often includes some running. I got a SOG Aigis mini just for working out (bought used from a forum member). Nice size, pointy, and super lite. Also the safety is important. I would seriously worry about some of my benchmades opening during vigorous activity or if dropped, so they were a no go.

I always carry a Pacific Salt clipped inside the waistband at 3 oclock since it doesn't get in the way when bending over and it's not bouncing around in the pocket.

I think I've only used the knife like 3 or 4 times since I started carrying one while working out (about 2 years). But like they say... Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I started running again. When I run, I go as light as possible. So no knives for me, not even a phone. Just keys and an iPod Nano.

If I feel like I need one, I take the Kershaw skyline. Slim, lightweight, capable, inexpensive. That's my gym/exercise/running knife.
