  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My running knives. What's yours?

I only went running once last year, and I believe I had a Spyderco Matriarch 2 inside my waistband.

If you jog often enough to warrant special jogging time equipment, you should be able to outrun any criminal or attacker along the way (since you're not likely to run into a gang of cardboard boxes along the way, I am assuming self defense along the reportedly isolated and dangerous running routes is a prime concern)!! I would say that's your best bet; you're the guy who jogs everyday, and you happen upon the robber that practices knife fighting every day and he isn't constrained by gym shorts and the want of a lightweight folder - your VG-10 Delica will be no match for his Indonesian Karambit or switchblade, or ridiculously large bowie knife - or his Jennings throw a way .380 - but your Nike air maxes will leave his combat boots / flip flops in the dust. Play to your strengths running man, make it a real sprint run, and not just a Spyderco one.

Im not as much concerned about people as i am animals. Ill go running in rural areas where wild dogs run rampant. I like have something sharp and pointy just in case

I don't go jogging anymore, but I'd say a Matriarch 2 would fit the bill nicely.

Good call. More than once I've had dogs surrounding me and aggressively barking, while metal detecting on the edge of town. But a collapsible baton made more sense for my scenario.
