My second completed knife

My two cents: I really like the knife. Especially the nickel silver and the luster of the Micarta. I would leave it alone. I made a knife once with water buffalo horn and buffed it up to a shiny black and everyone thought the scales were plastic and no one would buy it. A lady bought it for her husband a week before Christmas and brought it back it two days after Christmas and requested a refund because he did not like the knife. I gave her a refund and kept the knife for a few more months before it sold again. Your knife is beautiful. Larry Lehman

Can't say anymore than what's already been said. Beautiful knife, very well crafted. Congratulations on such a fine second knife.

I really like it. Looks pretty dang good for a second knife! 1000x better than my second would have turned out!

Thats your second knife? Were you a knife maker before you became a knife maker or something? :D

I'm with redd1981 how in the world did you get this good so fast?

Well...first, I have a lot of experience in machining and fabrication. I just shut down my handbuilt chopper shop last year. I built everything from the frames to exhaust, tanks to fenders, all from scratch. All this has little to do with knifemaking but it certainly built the skill of visualization and forming a plan on how to get there.

Second, I spent a week with Johnny Stout. He showed me the process and helped tune up my grinding. I'll be taking more classes with him in the future as I have every intention of making that list of "Up and Coming" knifemakers over on the custom and handmade knives forum. Might take a couple years but I'm confident I've found my second calling here! I am totally obsessed with making the best knives I possibly can.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I have several more getting sheaths made that I will be sharing soon.

Bob
