My Skyline Collection

Yeah im not counting the fixed blaes myself so i need the following
1760RD
1760BLSW
1760BFC
1760CKT
I agree the first production 1760 would be same model but if i come across one ill take it even if its not on list

I wish they would make the brown/black skyline in s30v, I would buy two! Love that color, in any knife for that matter.

i was going to collect leeks but it really isnt my style knife. I had 11 at one point than sold all but 5 off. Its a great knife the tip is just to small for me.

I just scored the 1760BW from Dave. I love the finish on it. I've been collecting the Skyline for about a year now and have every model but the following:

1760 Ducks Unlimited
1760 First Production
1760RD
I've looked everywhere with no luck. Any tips are appreciated :)

Here is my current list, I think at least 2 new models/variations have appeared since the last update on this thread - the BladeHQ 1760BLBW and the 40th Anniversary model given away at the 2014 SHOT Show.

If any of this is incorrect, please speak up! I've scoured the Inter-Webs and dug back into old, archived forum posts on BF looking for data.

Yeah - I admit its an obsession...

I'm going to include a few photographs of the rarer models (since that is where most of the interest is!) These are NOT my photographs, one is from Kershaw's Facebook page (40th Anniversary Model) one is from an old forum post by BrentD86 (DU variant), one is from an old Thomas W. posting of a composite blade Skyline prototype, one is of the ACU Camo G10 scale prototype (only 1 known in the wild) and the last is a fantastic photograph showing most of the Skyline Models side-by-side - this image is from "Lost Sailor" on Flickr.

1760 - Introduced December, 2007
1760 First Production Run - 500 numbered "1 of 500"
1760 Ducks Unlimited - I've seen photographs of 2 of these on BF
1760 Composite Blade Prototype 14C28N/CPM-D2 - photograph and details from Thomas W. post on 05/26/2008
1760 40th Anniversary - giveaway at the 2014 SHOT - Photographs from Kershaw's Facebook page

1760DAM - ~500 on first production run in 2008, I have no idea how many were produced during the 2013 production run.

1760CKT - No idea on number produced. S&R special edition.

1760BRNCKT - No idea on number produced. Kershawguy special edition. Only version with black pocket clip.

1760OR - No idea on number produced. Originally a Cabela's exclusive.

1760RD - No idea on number produced. Mine has no Born on Date and it is engraved "14C28N" so this is a post-2009 production.

1760RDSO - No idea on number produced. Originally from April 2009 - a box with ~60 were for sale at the 2013 Kershaw warehouse sale.

1760RDSW - 421 made and sold by BladeHQ in early 2013.

1760BLSW - 64 made and sold by BladeHQ in early 2013 (rarest non-prototype edition that was sold to the public).

1760BFC - 500 Spark from BF organized this run of 500 - Only version with S30V steel and serial numbers (got lucky and purchased the last one of Spark's leftover 14!)

1760BW - ~1,000 made. Introduced December, 2013.

1760BLBW - 211 sold by BladeHQ on 1/3/2014 (entire run sold out in less than 12 hours)

I need to do an updated photo shoot. Hopefully it'll include the latest 40th anniversary edition!

Hi RJMichna! Yes, Please - let's see all the new Skylines... I need to show off mine - its not as complete as yours, but that inspires me that it can be done!

(I hope you don't mind I included your photographs, they are great examples of the Skyline family)

Not that long ago I emailed Kershawguy to ask him who had placed the original exclusive ordered for the 1760BRNCKT and this was his reply: "I don’t really know the story on these, there were never very many out there when I had the opportunity to purchase them. I think I bought nearly 500."

Thank for the update, I knew that Dave bought out the run and he's still selling them, which is why I marked it as his special edition - he inherited them so they are now named after him! So there are about 500 or so of the 1760BRNCKT models out in the wild...

Isn't 500 the minimal number for a special run? (I'm not counting the 1760RDSO, 1760BLSW and the 1760BLBW which I believe were made using the remaining blades and scales from earlier production models.)

The moment I saw the 40th Anniversary photographs on Facebook I emailed Dave, "I want one..."

~Still looking...~

Here's my family. I'm only collecting unique model numbers (of which there are 12). I'm just missing 1760BLSW and 1760RD.

Just an FYI: The 40th ann. skyline was only given out to dealers. There are NO numbers given for it either. I wouldn't hold my breath trying to find it. It will be a rare bird.

Just like the Ducks Unlimited - they exist, just not anywhere I can find. Hey - if it were easy it wouldn't be any fun, right?

Lol well I didn't even know about the 40th anniversary model or composit prototype but those are the only two I don't have

Hi Brent - Yeah, rub it in... ;)

I appreciate your sharing your collection - I saw it (and rjmichna's) and they inspired me to see if I could complete the quest. I think I'm 2 or 3 behind you. What's the phrase they use on here, "Grail Hunt?"

I'm missing the 1760RD, First Production Run, and Ducks Unlimited, but I'm trying to make up for it with "blade swap" or "Frankensk'line" versions, like brown handle/uncoated blade/silver clip; black handle/DLC blade/black clip; orange handle/DLC blade/black clip, etc.

About that 1760RD, does anyone know the history of this variant? As far as I can tell, it seems to be the rarest model that was actually available for purchase (the Ducks Unlimited, CB Prototype and 40th Anniversary were never officially for sale) - could there be even fewer of the 1760RD than of the 64 of the 1760BLSW that BladeHQ sold?
