As a somewhat Paleo meat eater that fat looks delicious, what is that??

MMAR,

A bit late, but I noticed that when you carry the PM2 with tip up but spine is not against your pocket seam. Won't it be risking it opens in pocket as the retention is only by ball detent?

Chris--that is a good point and one I had not considered. I can either risk it, switch it to left-rear or switch the pocket clip around to accommodate right-rear pocket carry with the spine against the pocket seam--that puts the pocket clip on the "presentation" side for a righty which would be quite awkward....

it is a domestic bacon , product of my father .... smoked in a special room.its okay to eat without barbecue , but this is tastier , because excess fat to drain.
Other meat is somewhat similar to the Greek ' ' souvlaki ' '
Meat that does not exist in the picture , sausages , steaks and other dog ate while we were entertained with homemade brandy :-)

This thread (and the Wharncliffe Delica proposed by Jazz with Sal's amazing response) led me to buy a Spyderco Delica. After owning easily $20k worth of knives over the years, I always blew off the Delica. I must now say after carrying for 2 weeks exclusively and it lead me to sell every knife I owned. Yes it is even better than my beloved CRK small Inkosi (which I owned 4 of - as that is how much I loved it). The Delica honestly is all the knife I would need. I am simply floored by it! I will start a thread soon detailing my journey to it and wax philosophic on why I think it is the best EDC knife out there.

Very good knife. I picked another one up here last week after reading through this darn thread. It's easy to get lost in the idea of needing a crazy overbuilt knife for everyday EDC. I used to think that I needed a very stout knife to do what I need on a daily basis. But the sad reality is that the delica will do 99% of those daily tasks.

Now that I have one back in my pocket, I realize how much I missed it and enjoyed using it. I have also been kicking around the idea of getting a little pocket pry tool just incase I need to do some heavy prying that the delica cannot take.

I also have and love the Inkosi, and all CRK knives. But i am really starting to think that I could get away with this delica and a pm2 and be happy and have two knives for everything I'm going to need.

Who knows.........I'm a knife addict like the rest of us. Haha

Or perhaps move the clip for tip down, on same side?

LOL--I hadn't considered that. Consider my spatial reasoning as less than adequate sometimes!

Made the switch and it feels good in hand and in pocket--I believe this is the orientation they come from the factory:

Ivan--if I ever find myself in Belgrade, Serbia, Europe you must promise me that you will make me some of that domestic bacon. I trust you have adequate emergency cardiac care in your region? I can almost hear my arteries clogging up just by salivating over that bacon!

The Delica is truly amazing. The more knives a person has owned, including high-end knives, the more they can appreciate the simplicity, quality, and cutting ability of the humble Delica.

I am looking forward to your wax-filled philosophies on the Delica as the best EDC ;)

Make sure and post a link to your thread in this thread and vice-versa. . ..

I am beginning to feel the same way--a Delica and a PM2 would cover me completely! However, I have a strong desire to own many more knives than that even if I don't need them.

Nice pic!

Using my Delica " craft knife " to do the initial rough trim of a SAK sheath I'm making .
It raced through the dense leather .

Very nice! Is that the Kahr arms version? Love the scales.

No its my original Hap40 Delica that I snapped the blade tip off .
I did a Kahr type regrind on it , but only removed as much steel as necessary , so its actually longer than the standard Kahr blade .
To be honest a disaster turned into a great adaptation , and it is fast becoming my favorite knife of my Delica selection .
